Job Summary
This frontline role is critical to delivering a seamless guest experience through accurate billing, secure cash handling, and system efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong working knowledge of MICROS POS and exhibit a high level of integrity in all financial transactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Process guest transactions accurately and efficiently using MICROS POS system, including cash, credit card, voucher, and room charge payments.
• Ensure adequate cash float is maintained at the cashier station; count, balance, and reconcile end-of-day transactions.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate cashiering documentation, including daily transaction summaries and reconciliation reports.
• Promptly report any discrepancies, overages, or shortages to the Restaurant Manager and Finance Department.
• Coordinate with the Finance team for daily deposit of collections and handover of financial documentation.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of all cashiering equipment, including POS terminal and card readers.
• Assist guests with inquiries related to billing and payment in a professional and courteous manner.
• Comply with all cashiering policies, internal control procedures, and audit standards.
• Support service team during high-volume periods, including guest seating and basic order-taking when required.
• Perform ad hoc cashiering and administrative duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Finance team.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

• High School Certificate or equivalent; Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Accounting, or Business preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of cashiering experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment.
• Proficient in using MICROS POS or similar Point-of-Sale systems.
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Excel and general Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and shift rotations.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling financial transactions.
