Job Summary
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s plumbing systems, ensuring that all facilities operate efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality and service. This role involves working on both guest and service areas, addressing any plumbing issues promptly to maintain an exceptional guest experience. The plumber will collaborate with other maintenance staff, respond to emergencies, and contribute to the hotel’s sustainability initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
o Installation of Plumbing Systems: Install and replace plumbing fixtures, piping, and drainage systems in guest rooms, restrooms, kitchens, and laundry facilities.
o Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of plumbing systems to identify and resolve leaks, clogs, and other issues.
o Troubleshooting: Diagnose plumbing problems and carry out repairs quickly to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
o Emergency Response: Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, including burst pipes and sewage issues, ensuring minimal impact on guests and operations.
o Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to coordinate repairs and renovations, ensuring timely completion of projects.
o Water Efficiency Initiatives: Implement water-saving technologies and practices to enhance the hotel's sustainability efforts.
o Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes and health regulations.
o Guest Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to address plumbing-related concerns, ensuring a high level of customer service.
o Documentation: Maintain accurate records of plumbing repairs, service requests, and maintenance schedules.
o Training and Supervision: Train and supervise junior plumbing staff or apprentices, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
o Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of plumbing supplies and tools, ensuring availability for repairs and maintenance.
o Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
o Attend departmental meetings and lineups.
o Perform other duties related but not limited to new projects, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, as may be required by immediate superiors and undertake any works and tasks that are assigned to promote and/or ensure the smooth operation of the resort.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
o Professional license
o Strong technical knowledge.
o Proven experience as an electrician in commercial and/or industrial electrical systems.
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
o Excellent problem-solving ability.
o Good spoken and written English.
o Computer literate.
