A Commis is an entry-level kitchen position responsible for assisting with food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of more senior chefs. They help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, as well as manage basic food storage and inventory. Commis chefs work closely with senior kitchen staff to learn and develop their culinary skills while ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Additionally, they assist in the smooth running of the kitchen by completing basic tasks quickly and efficiently.
