About the role
The houseman responsibility is to provide quality service in all Rooms and Guest Pubic Areas that exceeds Guest’s expectations. The Houseman must demonstrate genuine concern for Guests while ensuring friendly, safe, efficient and professional service. In order to consistently exceed Guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Exceed Guest expectations of housekeeping services for the rooms and Public Areas
- Meticulously adhere to the standard operating procedures
- General and deep cleaning of toilets, corridors, trolleys, pantries and caddies as per the standard procedures.
- Leans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
- Washes walls and ceiling, moves furniture and turn mattress.
- Dusts and polishes metalwork and wooden surfaces
- Removes trash collected by room attendants.
- Perform duties of room attendant when necessary.
- Help the house maids with the heavy lifting when super cleaning / spring cleaning of rooms.
- To assist with any other duties as required by the Director or another member of the management team.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Education High School
- Strong knowledge of cleaning supplies and procedures
- Strong ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Previous cleaning experience may be an advantage, but not generally required
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and managers
- Be ready for flexible schedule
- Strong knowledge of all Hotel facilities, their service and working hours
- Mantain posiive attitude and body language at all time

Η ευθύνη του οροφοκόμου είναι να παρέχει ποιοτικές υπηρεσίες σε όλα τα δωμάτια και τους χώρους του Guest Pubic που ξεπερνούν τις προσδοκίες των επισκεπτών. Ο οροφοκόμος πρέπει να επιδεικνύει γνήσιο ενδιαφέρον για τους επισκέπτες, εξασφαλίζοντας παράλληλα φιλική, ασφαλή, αποτελεσματική και επαγγελματική εξυπηρέτηση. Προκειμένου να υπερβεί σταθερά τις προσδοκίες των επισκεπτών και να παρέχει τα υψηλότερα επίπεδα προϊόντων και υπηρεσιών, ενδέχεται να ανατεθούν πρόσθετα καθήκοντα και ευθύνες ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες.
Βασικά καθήκοντα και αρμοδιότητες
- Να υπερβαίνει τις προσδοκίες των επισκεπτών όσον αφορά τις υπηρεσίες καθαριότητας για τα δωμάτια και τους κοινόχρηστους χώρους.
- Να τηρεί σχολαστικά τις τυποποιημένες διαδικασίες λειτουργίας
- Είναι υπεύθυνος για τον γενικό και βαθύ καθαρισμό των τουαλετών, των διαδρόμων, των καροτσιών, των ντουλαπιών και των καλαθιών σύμφωνα με τις τυποποιημένες διαδικασίες.
- Να καθαρίζει χαλιά, μοκέτες και επικαλυμμένα έπιπλα χρησιμοποιώντας ηλεκτρική σκούπα, σκούπα και μηχανή σαμπουάν για μοκέτες.
- Να πλένει τοίχους και οροφές, να μετακινεί έπιπλα και να γυρίζει στρώματα.
- Να ξεσκονίζει και να γυαλίζει μεταλλικές και ξύλινες επιφάνειες
- Να απομακρύνει τα σκουπίδια που συλλέγονται από τους φροντιστές δωματίων.
- Να εκτελεί καθήκοντα συνοδού δωματίου όταν είναι απαραίτητο.
- Να βοηθά τις καμαριέρες με τα βαριά αντικείμενα όταν γίνεται υπερκαθαρισμός/ανοιξιάτικος καθαρισμός των δωματίων.
- Να συνδράμει σε οποιαδήποτε άλλα καθήκοντα απαιτηθούν από τον διευθυντή ή άλλο μέλος της ομάδας διαχείρισης.
Απαιτούμενα προσόντα
- Απόφοιτος Λυκείου
- Γνώση των προμηθειών και των διαδικασιών καθαρισμού
- Ικανότητα να ακολουθεί οδηγίες
- Ικανότητα αυτόνομης εργασίας χωρίς άμεση επίβλεψη
- Προηγούμενη εμπειρία στον καθαρισμό αποτελεί πλεονέκτημα
- Ικανότητα αποτελεσματικής επικοινωνίας με τους επισκέπτες, τους συναδέλφους και τους διευθυντές
- Ευελιξία για εργασία σε βάρδιες
- Γνώση όλων των εγκαταστάσεων του ξενοδοχείου, των υπηρεσιών και των ωρών εργασίας τους
- Διατήρηση θετικής διάθεσης
