Job Summary
To ensure that all wellness operations perform and maximize their potential, are individually profitable and sustainable whilst enhancing the resort’s brand image.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute wellness strategies,
- Develop and monitor a separate retail strategy for spa and non-spa items, as well as branded items,
- Reviews and ensures implementation of operating manual, policies and procedures, health and safety standards,
- Ensures that all standards and guest experiences and guest journeys are in place and working in the resort,
- Provide strategic advice and action to assist wellness operations that are underperforming and who have been identified as opportunity operations, monitor results and make recommendations for greater achievements,
- Correlates guest satisfaction – guest experiences - repeat guest to higher profitability,
- Recommends CAPEX investment for the improvement of guest experience or for set health and hygiene standards,
- Reviews, monitors and follows an action plan based on health and hygiene standards,
- Monitoring industry trends and guest feedback in wellness products,
- In consultation with the General Manager, determine wellness product grading for gym and spa (not limited to) advise on prioritization of renovations,
- Provide input on OS&E items for all renovations,
- In conjunction with Human Resources, develop and drive the Colleague wellness program and standards.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or comparable spa management experience
- 2+ years of successful spa management experience,
- Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments,
- Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems,
- Excellent customer service skills,
- Creative in marketing and promotions,
- Sales oriented,
- Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic,
- Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously,
- Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational,
- Professional manner, discretion, and appearance,
- Ability to show initiative and make decisions.
