Key Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Coordination & Control
· Acts as the main contact between the Resort and the external payroll provider.
· Performs day-to-day payroll-related checks and updates to ensure payroll information is accurate and complete.
· Reviews attendance sheets submitted by HR against employee time sheets to verify correctness (overtime, 6th day, sick leave, days off, etc.).
· Prepares and validates overtime schedules based on approved overtime forms.
· Compiles and submits the monthly payroll input file to the external payroll provider.
· Ensures payroll adjustments (deductions, allowances, claims) are properly supported and applied.
· Ensures that salaries are not released to employees without signed contracts or valid renewals.
· Prepares monthly headcount reports and updates necessary payroll trackers.
· Prepares the monthly tips/service charge distribution.
· Provides payroll-related support and clarifications to employees.
Payroll Analysis, Provisions & Compliance
· Prepares monthly and quarterly payroll cost and headcount variance analyses vs. budget/forecast.
· Prepares monthly payroll-related provisions such as vacation pay, holiday pay and incentives.
· Updates employee information in payroll-related systems in coordination with HR.
· Reviews monthly lists of employee contract expiries and probation periods and follows up with HR.
· Ensure that all hiring requests are budgeted and have the required approvals before being processed.
· Supports internal and external payroll audits.
· Identifies and suggest process improvements within payroll operations.
· Provides accurate payroll data for budgeting and forecast exercises.
· Maintains strict confidentiality and accuracy of payroll and employee data.
· Ensures compliance with Resort SOPs, internal controls, and local labour regulations.
General Accounting Responsibilities
· Prepares and records payroll-related journal entries and accruals.
· Reconciles payroll-related general ledger accounts monthly and investigates variances.
· Supports month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing schedules, entries and reconciliations.
· Assists the Finance Department in general accounting duties such as GL postings, vendor/employee account reconciliations, or other tasks depending on department workload.
· Participates in ad hoc payroll or accounting projects assigned by the Director of Finance.

· Maintains full confidentiality regarding Resort financial and payroll information.
· Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
· Cooperates effectively with colleagues across departments, especially HR.
· Communicates clearly and follows up consistently to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll and/or accounting; hotel experience strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of payroll principles, overtime rules, 6th day regulation and other labour law basics.
· Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems is a plus.
· Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Good written and verbal English communication skills.
· High attention to detail, accuracy, analytical thinking, and discretion.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, external payroll providers, and operational departments
