About the role
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth and supporting the resort's commercial strategy across the Groups, Weddings & Events segment while contributing to leisure sales initiatives within assigned markets. This role manages the sales cycle from prospecting and business development through proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and event handover, ensuring a seamless client experience and operational excellence. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Sales Executive cultivates strategic relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and delivers exceptional service that reflects the One&Only brand and contributes to the resort's revenue objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth within the Groups, Weddings & Events segment by managing enquiries, qualifying leads, developing tailored proposals, negotiating contracts, and converting opportunities into confirmed business.
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through event planners, wedding planners, corporate clients, travel advisors, DMCs, and leisure travel partners across assigned markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and business partners across assigned markets, supporting commercial growth through effective account management and business development.
- Prepare competitive proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements that balance guest expectations with the resort's revenue and profitability objectives.
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through contract signature and operational handover, ensuring a seamless transition to internal teams.
- Coordinate closely with Reservations, Revenue, Operations, Finance, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure the successful planning and execution of group, wedding, and event bookings.
- Prepare and manage all sales and event documentation, including contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), rooming lists, and client correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, including account activity, sales pipeline, production reports, forecasts, and market intelligence.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify business opportunities and support pricing, sales, and promotional strategies.
- Organize and coordinate familiarisation (FAM) trips, site inspections, partner visits, trade shows, roadshows, and sales missions, delivering a personalized and memorable One&Only experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a brand ambassador and consistently demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism and luxury hospitality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, contractual requirements, and sales procedures.
- Support the wider Commercial team with strategic initiatives, marketing activations, promotional campaigns, and other projects as required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years' sales experience within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably with exposure to Groups, Weddings & Events.
- Strong understanding of the Groups & Events sales cycle, including prospecting, account management, proposal development, contract negotiation, event planning, and post-event evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to build client relationships, negotiate effectively, and consistently achieve revenue targets.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify new business opportunities and contribute to market growth.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and networking skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers and luxury clientele.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience preparing sales reports, forecasts, pipeline analysis, and market insights.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional departments, including Revenue, Reservations, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Food & Beverage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook); experience with CRM platforms, Delphi/FDC, Opera PMS, or similar hospitality sales systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and representing the One&Only brand.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, sales missions, trade shows, and industry events as required.
