About The Role

 

The SPA Therapist at One&Only Kea island is responsible for delivering exceptional treatments to guests of the SPA as per brand standards. Person in this role is esponsible for revenue generation through retail upselling and cross sales to other business centers within the Wellness department. 

 

This is a seasonal employment opportunity based in Kea Island.

 

Job Responsibilities
 

  • Carry out consultations and provide the full range of services offered by the spa, and ensure that a creative, flexible, and proactive approach is taken in the provision of the ‘wellness’ services and treatments.
  • Perform all treatments in a professional, hygienic and safe manner for all clients, updating knowledge and training regularly.
  • Responsibility for the cleaning of facilities and treatment areas at the conclusion of services and to ensure that all work areas are maintained in a neat, professional, hygienic, and safe manner.
  • Actively promote the spa services, and sales of product ranges which are retailed within the resort, with integrity, honesty, and skill.
  • Be aware of the impact of treatments and services on the health, wellbeing, appearance, and medical conditions of guests. This aspect of the individual services will need to be provided to be maintained as history and for repeat visits by guests.
  • Handle immediate complaints in a diplomatic manner and co-ordinate with the Spa Manager and other units to ensure that the guest receives services in a well-coordinated and timely manner.
  • Proactive approach to ensuring the guests experience is memorable by participating in guest activities, as required, within the scope of responsibilities
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, sterilization and hygiene of all equipment, products and linens in the treatment and preparation areas, following protocols.
  • Act responsibly at all times in relation to personal safety along with the safety of colleagues and guests of the spa.
  • Receive training on all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at work law and Health and Hygiene standards.

 

Skills Requirements
 

  • Minimum 3-4 years work experience as a qualified therapist.
  • Diploma in Beauty or Massage from a recognized institute.
  • Experience in procedures, standards, and operation of a spa facility.
  • In-depth knowledge of the practices relating to the physiology of treatments, health and beauty treatments, and all aspects of health & safety.
  • Additional written and spoken languages will be preferred but not essential.
  • A thorough knowledge of advanced First Aid is essential.
  • Good knowledge of English language.
