This internship provides hands-on experience in finance and procurement within a luxury resort environment. The intern will gain exposure to financial processes, purchasing procedures, and cost control while supporting daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies, sign the acknowledgement and hand it back to Human Resources

• Develop understanding of finance and procurement operations
• Gain knowledge of purchasing processes and supplier coordination
• Support cost control and budget monitoring
• Build accuracy, compliance, and organizational skills

Program Structure

The intern will rotate within key functions, including:

• Finance Operations (AP, basic accounting support)
• Procurement & Purchasing
• Cost Control
• Inventory / Stores Coordination

Key Responsibilities

Finance:

• Assist in invoice verification and proper documentation
• Support accounts payable processes and filing
• Assist in daily income checks and basic reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Support finance team in reporting preparation
• Having exposure to Rwanda Taxation – EBM invoice generation

Procurement:

• Assist in preparing purchase requests (PR) and purchase orders (PO)
• Follow up with suppliers on orders and deliveries
• Support supplier documentation and records management
• Assist in price comparisons and quotations analysis
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval processes

Cost Control & Coordination:

• Work closely with stores to track stock movements
• Assist in monitoring consumption and cost tracking
• Participate in inventory counts and variance checks
• Support inter-department coordination for requisitions

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, the intern will:

• Understand finance and procurement workflows in hospitality
• Gain practical experience in purchasing and supplier management
• Learn cost control and inventory tracking processes
• Develop strong attention to detail and compliance awareness
• Build reporting and analytical skills

Supervision & Evaluation

• Reports to Finance Manager / Procurement Manager / Cost Controller
• Assigned mentor for daily supervision
• Monthly feedback and performance reviews
• Final evaluation at the end of the internship
• Compliance with company policies and confidentiality is mandatory
