JOB SUMMARY
Liaises with government offices to communicate and coordinate the process and represent One&Only Reethi Rah if required on any government-related matter. Oversees the Work permit medical and all kinds of Visa processes ensuring all the processes and services are carried out fairly and effectively with consistency. The Government Liaisons Officer will be required to conduct duties in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner ensuring that the highest level of service is maintained.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Process all Visa Applications for Work Permit cards and Visa stamps in the passport.  
•    Submit, apply, follow up, and receive all expatriate Colleagues' visas for work permits, corrections, cancellations, and business visas for full-time Colleagues short-term contractors, and visiting practitioners in the absence of the Administrator, Male Office. 
•    Responsible for the maintenance of the Immigration online visa application and renewal. 
•    Be the external face of One&Only Reethi Rah and manage a strong business working relationship with the relevant government entities, main immigration, and other key government organizations to facilitate the resort's requirements.      
•    Obtain the required token from Immigration to submit a work permit card application.        
•    Handle all Colleagues including their dependents and contractor’s medical tests at licensed clinics to complete their work permit visas.   
•    Welcoming all the new hires on arrival and taking responsibility for them until they depart to the resort, maintaining the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, and attitude toward colleagues and ensuring that they receive a warm welcome on arrival.  
•    Deal with the health ministry and IGMH for any medical issues and further investigations. 
•    Handle/process all required documents and all formalities from the ministry to deport colleagues if they are not fit to work as per immigration procedures.  
•    Attend all colleagues' emergency medical upon request from the Human Resources Department /Resort clinic and arrange all necessary arrangements from the Male side with permission from the Human Resources Director or Manager. 
•    Assist with Guest emergency medical if it doesn’t affect the daily Human Resources Department operation.    
•    Assist with Human Resources Department with the attestation of contracts and any other documents from high commissions and other institutions and represent the Human Resources Department regarding any employment-related issues.    
•    Liaise with the Male Office manager on Deposit Payments for Immigration of New hires and Visa fees in the absence of the Male Office Administrator. 
•    Process Business visas from the permit section and attend business visa arrivals at the airport. 
•    Process tourist visa applications from the permit section and make the necessary payments to Immigration. 
•    Process Intern’s visa from the Ministry and submit the required documents to the immigration permit section and attend to their arrivals. 
•    Assist Male Office Administrator within and going Co-Mail in absence of him.  
•    Deal with any other government office related to colleagues’ issues with approval from the Director, Human Resources. 
•    Assist Male's office administrator during his absence to carry out his tasks (i.e., W/P card renewal, Deposit Refund, and MIRA payments) 
•    Assist the Male office team on any task allocated by the Manager of the male office.     
•    Be fully aware of all the policies and procedures and standard operating procedures of the Human Resources Department. 
•    Maintain a sense of urgency with whatever task is required and work as a team. 
•    Always follow the grooming standards. The goal is to present a clean, professional, and natural appearance in both attire and personal appearance. 
•    Be punctual, efficient, and above all, courteous.  Always assume a pleasing and helpful manner towards colleagues.   
•    Be aware of your work schedule and give adequate notice whenever serious circumstances prevent you from adhering to your schedule.  
•    Communicates promptly and efficiently, team members’ complaints and compliments regardless of employment level, and treats them in a fair and equal manner. 
•    To work closely with the Human Resources Team with trust and treat colleagues with respect.  
•    To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by HR Manager/Director.
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers. 

 

SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 
•    Should have excellent communication skills and must be fluent in English. 
•    Solid administration and computer literacy skills, particularly in MS Office. 
•    Must be able to work in a team orientation. 
•    Should be flexible and able to work in a multi-tasking role. 
•    Should be able to work in a remote island location with a diverse team. 
•    Should have minimum Diploma level education in a related field.  
•    Should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role at a five-star hotel/resort.
