JOB SUMMARY
Ensures that all hardware & software systems running within the resorts are maintained to a level that delivers the most efficient service for our internal & external customers and that they are following One&Only Resorts standards of operations. Provides support to the users of Information systems through direct interaction and the identification and coordination of our ongoing training needs.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the information system function within the resorts using appropriate systems management procedures and practices to ensure the operating effectiveness and integrity of data.
• Fulfill 7*24 hours on-call duties as required.
• Develops the technical and managerial skills required for rapid advancement to a Manager MIS position within the company.
• Assists with all aspects of implementing new and innovative business concepts.
• Assists all computer users for all types of programs, to enable them to perform their duties smoothly.
• Assists the IT Manager in the entire network maintenance, this includes administration and documentation of computer networks, telephone, and cable TV networks.
• Assist the IT Manager in systems automation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN applications, including implementation, coordination, control, usage monitoring, security, troubleshooting, training, and development of specialized procedures.
• Is responsible for overall coordination, control, and maintenance of staff personal computers within the network.
• Evaluate, select, and implement new products or services, comprehensive systems analysis, and progressive support methodologies for all applications.
• Is creative, and positive and delivers new ideas for constant improvement of computer networking.
• Assists the Manager, of IT in systems management and new projects.
• Use and handle IT equipment with care and according to the Manager’s instructions.
• Attends briefings and meetings as requested.
• Stay updated with developments in Information Technology.
• Attends all necessary training.
• Maintains high spirit among the IT Department colleagues, as well as other resort colleagues.
• Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the resorts, by maintaining effective relationships with resort colleagues.
• Responsible for daily backup and restore.
• Support and maintenance of I.T. infrastructure including telecommunications.
• Implement technology-related processes, systems, and telecommunications.
• Installation of software/hardware upgrades in compliance with the Resorts corporate policies & legal requirements.
• Provide Systems Administration.
• Role is very much customer-facing; whether this is internal customers (colleagues) or external customers (hotel guests); must fit into this environment, and be able to present themselves, accordingly, including representing the department at the HOD meetings and the daily and fortnightly operation meetings only when needed.
• Performs any additional duties and/or special projects as requested by the Director of Finance or IT Manager.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner by establishing company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Knows how to use all Finance equipment and policies.
• Attending regular necessary training in Finance operating systems, any teambuilding, and extra-curricular sporting activities as requested.
• Adheres to all current and any additional organizational policies and standards.
• Works as a team and is willing to perform any other job functions in the Finance Department.
• Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.
• Is polite and professional in any situation, where the image or reputation of the Resort is represented.
• Does not accept gifts of any nature. If received or offered notifying the Director of Finance immediately is required.
• Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of Maldivian Law.
• Follows safety rules and Operating Procedures.
• Is aware of all house rules and obeys them.
• Is alert of any misappropriation or cheating by any member of the resort.
• Always conduct oneself in such a manner and follow resort rules and regulations to encourage all fellow employees to do likewise.
• Share knowledge and skills with other colleagues.
• Responsible for the efficient, clean, safe, and hygienic maintenance of all Accounts areas.
• Project always, a favorable image of “Finance”, “One&Only Reethi Rah” and “One&Only Resort” to all team members.
• Communicates promptly and efficiently and handles internal and external customer complaints and compliments regardless of how small they may be.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
• Degree or Diploma in Networks Engineering or similar, a Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP) and an MCP/MCSE Foundation Certificate would be added advantages.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years working experience as an IT assistant professional including networks, Opera PMS /Micros 9700 POS systems to medium to large organizations and operating multiple complex IT software systems.
• Possess excellent communication and time management skills, have strong attention to detail and quality of work. You will be able to work under pressure and towards deadlines, be able to work as part of a team, and be a self-motivated approachable, and friendly person.
