JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the assistant Spa Manager and within the limits of the Spa policies, ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of spa operation. This part also involves the Spa ambiance, and physical set up of the Spa – music, air conditioning levels, incense, candles, and oil burners lit and supplying sufficient clean linen. Revising the optimum functionality of the Spa equipment and engineering needs of the facilities is an important part of the role as well as providing the service and attention aligned to the protocols and standards of our guests in the changing rooms.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Reports to shift on time, dressed in the issued uniform and groomed as described in the resort’s grooming standards.
•    Will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire Spa, treatment, changing rooms, Spa pavilions, guest waiting, garden tea lounge, watsu pool, Hair Salon, Bastien Studio, and relaxation areas. These are to be kept in a neat, tidy, and sanitary manner by the Health and Safety Standards and Spa Manager directions.
•    Responsible for morning and evening set-ups and turn-down service of spa guest areas.
•    To assist therapists in setting up for treatments and clearing away after treatments.
•    To ensure that lockers are always stocked with clean linen and adequate guest supplies and remove soil linen from changing rooms, relaxation areas, treatment rooms, Spa reception, hair salon, waxing room, Bastien Gonzalez area, and Fitness center.
•    To assist guests in changing areas, provide a tour of the locker areas explaining the facilities and hydrotherapy circuit (temperature, time of exposure, contraindications, etc.). As well as offer beverage amenities, cold towels, and Amenities that are available on request and ensure guests are not left unattended.
•    If required attendants will be responsible for taking guest shoes and guiding them to changing rooms or other Spa facilities, as well as pointing out the location of the private changing area, heat experiences, and relaxation areas and explaining their use.
•    Escort guests to the Spa waiting area, ready for the therapist to greet them before taking them to the treatment room.
•    To attend to guests in both the relaxation and waiting areas ensuring that they are comfortable as well as offering drinks and other assistance.
•    To inform the Duty Manager in charge/ Spa Director for any guest comments and complaints.
•    To check all guest areas especially changing rooms (lockers) for any lost and found items and report to the Duty Manager according to the resort’s “Lost and Found policy.”
•    To report any defects in Spa and fitness equipment and Spa and fitness facilities to the Duty Manager by departmental standards.
•    Responsible for the removal of dirty linen to the laundry whilst maintaining abundant supplies of linen in the Spa and fitness areas, each treatment room, and changing rooms.
•    To keep storerooms in a clean and tidy state and with sufficient stock of cleaning products, supplies, and guest amenities as required for the operation.
•    To assist in In Villa setups or clearing equipment as required by the operation.
•    Responsible for keeping floors and drains in a constantly clean and tidy state.
•    To be fully conversant with housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, use of cleaning and chemical products
•    To be responsible for weekly deep cleaning of Changing rooms, reception, toilets, showers, back of house, and offices.
•    To be responsible for providing a sufficient supply of water, scented water, and fruit in all spa areas.
•    To be responsible for controlling and reporting the status of guest supplies to the Duty Manager.
•    Will be expected to assist with buggy service for guests if required.
•    To utilize a logbook to communicate with other attendants.
•    Write and align FSMS record books and train the team.
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.

 

SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 
•    Fluent in English written and spoken, and other languages a distinctive advantage.
•    Must have strong interpersonal skills. 
•    Previous experience in 5-star Resorts.
•    Relevant experience in the same role for at least 2 years
•    Completed FSMS certificate training up to level 2.
•    Ideally to count with previous experience in public areas or housekeeping.
•    Attention to detail and aptitude to maintain a very hygienic environment.
•    Required to be able for a lot of walking, standing, and heavy lifting.
•    The minimum education requirement at A level
•    Basic computer skills and managing databases such as Microsoft products. 
•    Ideally to count with first aid and CPR training from an organization like the Red Cross.
•    Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures.
