JOB SUMMARY:
Manage maintenance operations of the entire Resort facility, including guest rooms, building structure, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C. systems, power plant, reverse osmosis water plant, and sewage treatment plant All marine vessels and related equipment by guest service, preventative maintenance, and energy conservation standards and programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest and service areas to maintain them in proper working order and appearance. Coordinate all renovation, expansion, and special projects.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervises and monitors the performance and daily activities of the maintenance staff, assigns jobs, and work schedules, and prioritizes workload to ensure optimum productivity and timely response.
• Consistently provides on-the-job supervision and training, and provides necessary technical information for repair, maintenance, operation, modification, replacement, and new construction activities to ensure that all jobs are being done correctly.
• Works closely with other departments to coordinate the engineering work activities, identifying repairs and maintenance requirements to minimize adverse impact and maximize timely response.
• Performs Human Resource management functions by establishing policies and procedures in terms of hiring, disciplinary actions, counseling, and performance management in conjunction with the Director of Engineering to develop a highly skilled and motivated staff.
• Advises and confers with the Director of Engineering on the effective and conservative use of heat, light, and power programs and policies to maintain low energy costs.
• Participates in efforts to evaluate and update administrative systems that relate to the spare parts and supplies, time and materials, inventory control, preventative maintenance, project control, and work order system to provide the hotel with the most up-to-date programs and procedures.
• Monitor all marine vessel maintenance and repairs closely with the marine sectional supervisor and maintain log sheets for all the vessels with a complete history to track down the cost and history of all the vessels.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
• Minimum 5 - 7 years experience in the same position OR similar position in the hospitality industry.
• Good commanding skills, leadership, and communication skills.
• Must have theoretical and practical knowledge about General construction, civil, landscape, mechanical, and electrical.
• Ability to work hand-to-hand with technicians at any time of resort requirement.
• Should have proper knowledge about all Hospitality Engineering systems, Project & asset management.
• Must have an Engineering degree/diploma in the mechanical or electrical field.
