JOB SUMMARY

 

 To provide the full range of hair services and products to Colleagues as outlined in the Colleague Salon service menu and promote   the overall philosophy and services of the Colleague Salon. Responsible for treating all Colleagues and drive revenue of hair treatments and achieving retail sales targets. Ensure the smooth running of the Colleague Salon in maintaining a high standard of service, cleanliness and motivation within the Colleague Salon. 


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


HAIR STYLIST FUNCTIONS

•     Reports to shift on time, dressed in the issued uniform, and groomed as described in the resort’s grooming standards. 
•     Provide the full range of hair services as per the Colleague Salon menu, ensuring high standards of service and colleague satisfaction. 
•     Maintain salon cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and proper use/storage of all equipment and products. 
•     Manage bookings, accommodate schedule changes, and deliver personalized service to colleagues. 
•     Promote salon services and retail products, supporting revenue targets through upselling. 
•     Handle colleague feedback and complaints professionally in line with resort procedures. 
•     Complete daily opening/closing checklists and report maintenance issues promptly.

 

CORNER SHOP (Staff Shop) FUNCTIONS
•    Manage inventory levels, ensuring continuous availability of essential goods (food, beverages, toiletries, etc.) and coordinate with warehouse for timely replenishment. 
•     Operate the POS system, process transactions accurately, and ensure proper cash handling and shift-wise deposits. 
•     Maintain organized, clean, and visually appealing shop displays with accurate pricing and updated price tags. 
•     Handle Goods Received Notes (GRNs), verify cost prices, update systems, and maintain proper documentation. 
•     Monitor freezer/chiller temperatures and maintain cleaning and hygiene records. 
•     Implement pricing policies, manage price changes, and maintain all supporting documentation. 
•     Prepare reports such as short expiry items and cost analysis for management review. 
•     Introduce new items based on demand and manage slow-moving stock effectively.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Ensure compliance with resort policies, health & safety, and hygiene standards at all times. 
•    Maintain professional grooming, punctuality, and reliability in attendance and performance. 
•    Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for colleagues. 
•    Attend trainings, briefings, and maintain effective communication with all departments. 
•    Provide flexibility to cover salon operations during the absence of the primary Hair Stylist. 
•    Perform any additional duties as assigned by Management.

 

SKILL EXPEREINCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

 

•    Fluent in English written and spoken, other languages a distinctive advantage.
•    To have a minimum of a National Vocational Qualification level 1 -2 -3. 
•    Minimum of two years of professional experience in Hair Dressing, cutting, coloring, perming and straightening.
•    Minimum of two years’ experience working in a renowned hair salon and grocery outlet.
•    To have an outstanding customer service skills and a welcoming and sociable personality.
•    Good practical skills.
•    To have a positive and proactive attitude and an outstanding communication skills.
•    Creativity and awareness of fashion.
•    An awareness of health and safety issues.
•    Hairdressing/management back ground.   
•    Sales and Marketing skills.
•    Strong skills in administration process.
•    Attention to detail and aptitude to maintain a very hygienic environment.
•    Strong skills as leader and interpersonal and social skills.
•    Experience in handling effectively Colleagues complaints.
•    Strong command over all processing documents, computer skills.
•    The ability to operate office equipment.
•    Flexible schedule, available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
