JOB SUMMARY

To provide the full range of hair services and products to Colleagues as outlined in the Colleague Salon service menu and promote   the overall philosophy and services of the Colleague Salon. Responsible for treating all Colleagues and drive revenue of hair treatments and achieving retail sales targets. Ensure the smooth running of the Colleague Salon in maintaining a high standard of service, cleanliness and motivation within the Colleague Salon. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports to shift on time, dressed in the issued uniform, and groomed as described in the resort’s grooming standards. 
• To provide the full range of hair services that are stated in the Colleague Salon service menu.
• To be responsible for all equipment, products, cleanliness, hygiene, safety and security of the Salon before and after every treatment/service as well as maintaining the Salon area.
• To accept and check all bookings on Colleague Salon prior to commencing shift and throughout the day. 
• To have time flexibility when last minute treatment changes occur, read all necessary Colleagues comments/profiles in order to provide 5-star service.
• Ensures that the Colleagues satisfaction scores are achieved as per targets and follow up with action plans if required.
• To use the correct quantities of products as specified by the manufacturer and not exceed that amount
• To promote the Colleague Salon’s and hair product range to Colleagues upon inquiry, thus through knowledge of the Colleague Salon and hair product retail and service range is essential.
• To be aware of all hair and Colleague Salon treatments offered and any promotions on offer at any given time.
• To complete daily opening and closing checklists for each area and report to the Engineering in case there is any maintenance needed.
• To assist Colleagues in waiting area with refreshment, reading material and other request as required.
• Handles any Colleagues’ complaint in a professional manner, as per resort’s Policy & Procedure (service recovery).
• To inform the Director, Human Resources for any Colleagues comments and complaints, immediately or as soon as possible
• To stay updated with developments in the styling industry
• To assist with the department’s operational budget ensuring that it is in line and costs are strictly controlled.
• Complies with the Resort’s purchasing and stores requisitioning procedures, in respect of internal and external supplies.

• To achieve the set budget target and maximize the Hair Salon revenue by up selling treatments and products.
• To assist with Financial analysis of the Hair Salon operation 
• To ensure all colleague actively promote and sell the Hair Salon services and products.
• Maintains highest levels of personal hygiene and grooming at all times, as per One&Only standards.
• Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is maintained at all times and reports any concerns or faults immediately.
• To ensure that all fellow colleagues follow safety rules and operating procedures.
• To be knowledgeable of the contraindications of services and products and act in accordance.
• Ensure that hair products containing chemicals are used and stored correctly
• To ensure the team maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of all Colleague Salon areas, in accordance with the Health, Safety and Hygiene Legislation. 
• To be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
• To be courteous to Colleagues and other team members at all times
• To be accountable for all actions
• Attends daily and monthly Colleague Salon briefings.
• Ensures that channels of communication are respected and information is disseminated to the correct receivers.
• Attends all relevant One&Only training.
• Attends all training as assigned by Director, Human Resources.

SKILL EXPEREINCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

•  
• Fluent in English written and spoken, other languages a distinctive advantage.
• To have a minimum of a National Vocational Qualification level 1 -2 -3. 
• Minimum of four years of professional experience in Hair Dressing, cutting, coloring, perming and straightening.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a renowned hair salon.
• To have an outstanding customer service skills and a welcoming and sociable personality.
• Good practical skills.
• To have a positive and proactive attitude and an outstanding communication skills.
• Creativity and awareness of fashion.
• An awareness of health and safety issues.
• Hairdressing/management back ground.   
• Sales and Marketing skills.
• Strong skills in administration process.
• Attention to detail and aptitude to maintain a very hygienic environment.
• Strong skills as leader and interpersonal and social skills.
• Experience in handling effectively Colleagues complaints.
• Strong command over all processing documents, computer skills.
• The ability to operate office equipment.
• Flexible schedule, available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
