JOB SUMMARY
Performs his/her all assigned tasks to the highest professional standards, displays good salesmanship in up- selling skills, coordinates with production staff on special request. Demonstrates excellent computer knowledge, administrative skills, menu knowledge, telephone skills, etiquette and good team work attitude towards his/her colleagues. Maintains guests’ history files and assists his/her superior to manage and organize all aspects of special request of guests Communicates with guests and reports guests’ feedback to his/her superior to ensure high levels of food and service quality and guest satisfaction are maintained at all time.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and creates a working environment that reflects a sense of place.
- Assists in updating weekly Hostess roster with approval of Restaurant Manager.
- Assists in conducting continuous training program for Hostess along with Assistant Restaurant Managers
- Assists in guiding and allocating hostess during operation according to guest flow
- Ensures that all tasks assigned, by superiors are completed, in a timely fashion.
- Ensures to maintain a guests’ history file at all times.
- Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is maintained at all times and report any concerns or faults immediately.
- To be fully aware about all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures, & Responsible to report any potential hazardous situations within the work place.
- Remains updated on all resort happenings, including guests in-house, arrivals and departures, as well as daily events.
- Ensures that tables for special occasions are prepared accordingly to the standard.
- Ensures the greeting, meeting, seating and farewell of every guest by using guest name aligned with SOP & standards
- Updating the communication and information board to the restaurant standard.
- Presents oneself in a way that enhances guests overall experience, by adding life and energy to the outlet.
- Ensures that all mise - en place is correctly prepared, prior to commencing service.
- Demonstrates excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage items offered by the resort.
- Ensures that the design and layout of the outlet equipment is flawless and reflects the image of the resort.
- Handles any guest’s complaint in a professional manner, as per resort’s Policy & Procedure (service recovery).
- Ensures that the requisitions are arranged according to the outlet’s requirements based on the agreed turnaround time.
- Logs all the pertinent calls in the communication book accurately, completely and concisely within 24 hrs and immediately refers cases or request beyond scope to the appropriate department and staff.
- Initiating, conceptualizing, coordinating, outlet generic training.
- Ensures that channels of communication are respected, and information is disseminated to the correct receivers.
- Ensures excellent communication, respect and working relationships with fellow colleagues are maintained, and contributes to the team spirit and moral of the resort.
- Ensures the Awareness of Guest Satisfaction Quality results of the department.
- Performs additional or special duties, as directed by a superior.
- Prepares all reports as required.
- In absence of F&b Administrator, all administration works, printing outlet menus, preparing reports, post cards, new papers, proper recoding system etc. in addition any works assigned by Food & Beverage Director.
- Manage & handle all guest reservation effectively for day to day operation.
- Constantly suggest new creative ideas for constant improvement of the Food & Beverage Department / office.
- In absence of F&b Administrator Follows up on all the correspondences for the Food & Beverage Director
- Maintains confidentiality of all information of Food & Beverage Department & Resort.
- Performs any additional duties and/or special projects, as may be requested by the Food & Beverage Director in absence of F&b Administrator.
- Stays updated with developments in the field of Food & Beverage administration functions.
- Keeps abreast with employee welfare concerns and career development/succession plans.
- Attends and participates in team events, meeting, outlet communication meetings.
- Participates in required training related to the job.
- Ensure correct orientation and training for new employees in the department.
- Assure professional attitude towards guest, colleges his/her superiors at all times.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages is a distinctive advantage
- To be able to work well under pressure
- 2-year experience in a similar capacity
- Bachelor’s Degree holder is an advantage.
