JOB SUMMARY
Performs his/her assigned tasks to the highest professional standards, displays good salesmanship in up-selling skills, and coordinates with production staff on special requests. Demonstrates excellent menu knowledge, telephone skills, etiquette, and good teamwork attitude towards his/her colleagues. Maintains guests’ history files and assists Outlet Manager to manage and organize all aspects of special requests of guests.’ Communicates with guests and reports guests’ feedback to supervisor and Manager, to ensure high levels of food and service quality and guest satisfaction are maintained at all times. 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Ensures the greeting, meeting, seating, and farewell of every guest by using the guest's name. 
•    Maintains and creates a working environment that reflects a sense of place. 
•    Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is maintained at all times and reports any concerns or faults immediately. 
•    Remains updated on all resort happenings, including guests in-house, arrivals and departures, as well as daily events. 
•    Updating the communication and information board to the restaurant standard. 
•    Presents oneself in a way that enhances guests' overall experience, by adding life and energy to the outlet. 
•    Ensures that all mise-en place is correctly prepared, before commencing service. 
•    Prepares all food and beverage requests within the time parameters set by the resort and always displays attributes of genuine hospitality. 
•    Demonstrates excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage items the resort offers. 
•    Ensures that all tasks assigned, by the respected superiors are completed, in a timely and professional fashion. 
•    Attends and participates in allocated team events. 
•    Must participate in required training related to the job. 
•    To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleges at all levels. 
•    Assure professional attitude towards guests and colleagues at all times. 
•    Reported any potentially hazardous situations within the workplace to the Head hostess /Team Leader / Supervisor 
•    Apply and adhere to rules and regulations per the employee handbook, departmental and resort policies, and procedures, including those for emergencies. 
•    Practices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort guests. 
•    Ensures all activities are conducted honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law 
•    To check, read, and understand restaurant diaries or communication booklets, ensuring all information is well aware before commencing a shift.  
•    Collect the guest preferences to use during operation to vow the customers and disseminate them to the correct receivers. 
•    Use the upselling techniques at suitable timing, to increase the hotel revenue, to achieve the annual goals. 
•    To meet the resort food & and beverage standards, make sure the restaurant is well presented and welcoming to the customers throughout the operational hours. 
•    To ensure acknowledgment and greet guests with good eye contact and, an energetic and professional manner. 
•    To ensure bidding farewell, and check the customer's satisfaction, to maximize GSQ score. 
•    Performs any additional or special duties, as directed by a superior. 
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers

 

SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 
•    Fluent in written and spoken English, with other languages a distinctive advantage. 
•    To be able to work well under pressure. 
•    1 year experience in a similar capacity 
•    To be able to communicate effectively and do multiple tasks. 
•    5 Pass and above in GCE O level/ Cambridge Examinations or high school graduate 
•    To be able to work well under pressure. 
•    Computer literate (Microsoft Office) Guest Driven
