Ensure that the Fitness Center is operated by Standard Operational Procedures and adheres to Health and Safety Regulations. Support the Manager, Sports & Fitness in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of Fitness Center operations. To meet and greet guests, carrying a friendly and positive attitude. Provide efficient registration/check-in to all guests as they arrive for scheduled training. In addition, to ensure that the Fitness booking system is operated by the department procedures, including the guest billing and upselling of the services. To provide overall guidance through individual consultation to ensure that they receive a holistic and beneficial time within the Spa & Fitness Center in line with their expectations and goals. To promote the overall philosophy and services of the Spa & Fitness to reinforce the reputation and profile of the Resort by providing a quality total destination spa experience.

•    Reports to shift 15 minutes before starting the shift, dressed in the issued uniform and groomed as described in the resort’s grooming standards.  
•    To establish exercise programs for guests and considering their needs and goals, monitor their progress regularly. 
•    To maintain a proactive presence in the fitness areas, offering help, advice, and support to all users with a professional approach. 
•    To actively promote Personal training, retail items, and selling packages that the Fitness center offers.  
•    To always provide the finest personalized service and ultimate guest experience possible. 
•    To be able to assist and respond appropriately to client needs and be flexible and adaptable in their teaching and communication style. 
•    To be able to blend education and motivation into a planned exercise program and supervise the implementation of. 
•    To adequately oversee and communicate the principles of the training program in a manner that is safe to the client. 
•    To be responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the equipment and areas including the Kinesis studio as well as to ensure that the amenities offered in the gym (fruits, water, towels, etc.) are replenished promptly. 
•    To be continually visible to guests entering the spa at the reception and provide guests with the correct information regarding spa & and fitness services, products, and prices to assist with recommendations.  
•    To instruct/conduct fitness classes and any other activities as offered by the Spa & Fitness Center. 
•    To ensure that the guests are following the policies and safety regulations of the gym by courteously reminding them. 
•    To support in providing activities for teens, kids, and families. 
•    To liaise with the Manager, of Sports & Fitness weekly, ensuring that the schedule includes full gym coverage. 
•    To conduct Spa/Fitness Center tours for guests as required. 
•    To stay updated with developments in the health and fitness industry. 
•    To assist with the department’s operational budget ensuring that it is in line and costs are strictly controlled. 
•    To maximize the Fitness revenue by up-selling Personal Training. 
•    Increase fitness center revenue from the fitness retail shop and recharge bar sales. 
•    Maintains the highest levels of personal hygiene and always grooming, as per One&Only standards. 
•    Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is always maintained and immediately reports any concerns or faults. 
•    To follow safety rules and operating procedures. 
•    To be knowledgeable of the contraindications of services and products and act in accordance. 
•    To be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures. 
•    To ensure the team maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of the Fitness Studio areas, according to the Health, Safety, and Hygiene legislation.  
•    To be always courteous to guests and other team members. 
•    To be flexible whenever treatment changes occur, or additional duties are required by the Team Leader and Manager, Sports & Fitness. 
•    To be accountable for all actions. 
•    Attend Spa & Fitness daily briefings when possible. 
•    Must attend all training as set down by Manager, Sports & Fitness or Director, Guest Experiences. 
•    To set an example by maintaining one’s fitness levels and avoiding smoking, substance abuse, and unhealthy eating habits. 
•    Contribute to the overall health of the resort colleague - Colleague gym where applicable and talk on fitness topics for resort colleague if required. 
•    Adheres to all organizational policies and standards. 
•    Abides by the resort’s rules and regulations and ensures that subordinates abide by them as well. 
•    Performs flexibility if working long hours when required. 
•    When driving the resort’s buggies, ensure that rules and regulations are always followed. 
•    professionally handles any guest’s complaint, as per the resort’s Policy and procedure (service recovery). 
•    Ensures excellent communication and working relationships with colleagues are maintained and contribute to the team spirit. 
•    Exhibits outstanding knowledge of the resort, island, atoll, and the Maldivian culture. 
•    Ensures maintenance work is completed in a timely and professional manner. 
•    Ensures all fixed assets are well maintained.  
•    Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law. 
•    Ensures that all tasks assigned by superiors are completed, in a timely fashion. 
•    Should be in abidance with the expectations defined in the job responsibilities. 
•    Contributes to achieving Guest Satisfaction scores/comments as per departmental goals.  
•    Achieving budget and individual targets set by the Manager, Sports & Fitness. 
•    Assist in maintaining control of departmental costs.  
•    To perform any additional duties as may be requested by Management. 
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as your superiors or other Managers requested.
