JOB SUMMARY


To provide the full range of Yoga classes to guests as outlined in the Spa & Fitness service menu and always create a relaxing and caring Spa & Fitness ambiance within the Spa & Fitness. To meet and greet guests, carrying a friendly and positive attitude. To keep the fitness Center, clean and neat as per the highest standard and to assist with the fitness Center coverage. Provide an efficient registration/check-in to all guests as they arrive for scheduled yoga activities or personal sessions. In addition, to ensure that the Yoga booking system is operated by the department procedures, including the guest billing and upselling of the services. Ensure profitability by maximizing the recommendation and Yoga bookings to achieve spa & fitness revenue. To complete administration tasks the role requires. Provide prompt, efficient, and responsive service to all spa guests, to achieve a high level of guest satisfaction and organizational profitability in an environment of high individual morale. Project an image of courteousness and hospitality while handling guests. Assist the Director of Spa, Spa Manager, Manager, Sports & Fitness, or Head Therapist in maintaining the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of operations. To have complete knowledge of the facilities, products, and services offered. Provide overall guidance through individual consultation to ensure that every guest receives a professional approach in line with their expectations and goals. Promote the overall philosophy and services of the Spa & Fitness.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To conduct required Yoga Classes and Personal Sessions.
  • To be responsible for day-to-day operation, equipment, products, cleanliness, and hygiene of the activity areas.
  • To ensure the assigned yoga class location is set up, clean, and tidy before and after every guest/class.
  • To check all bookings on Spa Soft before commencing shift and throughout the day, to be flexible when last-minute booking changes occur, read all necessary guest comments/profiles to provide 5-star service.
  • To promote and up sale Yoga activities and classes by following internal marketing, PR, and interaction with guests.
  • To ensure that guest empathy and wellbeing during all bookings are maintained.
  • To provide the finest personalized service and ultimate guest experience possible.
  • To be aware of all treatments offered and to promote the Spa’s product range to guests upon inquiry, thorough knowledge of the Spa product retail range is essential.
  • To inform the Head Therapist, Assistant Manager Spa, Manager, Sports and Leisure of any guest comments and complaints, immediately or as soon as possible.
  • To assist guests in the waiting area with refreshments, reading material, and other requests as required
  • To complete daily opening and closing checklists for each area.
  • To report any product or maintenance needs to the Spa & Fitness Duty Manager.
  • To assist preparation of treatment or in keeping up the changing rooms when required
  • To conduct spa tours for guests as required
  • To stay updated with developments in the spa yoga ambit.
  • To assist with the department’s operational budget, ensuring that it is in line and costs are strictly controlled.
  • Complies with the Resort’s purchasing and store requisitioning procedures, in respect of internal and external supplies.
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets as set by the Director, Guest Experiences / Spa Assistant Manager / Manager, Sports & Leisure
  • To ensure all colleagues actively promote and sell the Spa, Fitness, and Recreational services, products, and activities.
  • Maintains the highest levels of personal hygiene and always grooming, as per One&Only standards.
  • To ensure that all colleagues follow safety rules and operating procedures.
  • To be knowledgeable of the contraindications of services and products and act in accordance
  • To ensure that the cleanliness and hygiene of all spa areas is always maintained, by the Health, Safety, and Hygiene Legislation.
  • To be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
  • To be always courteous to guests and other team members
  • To be flexible whenever booking changes occur or additional duties are required by the Director, Guest Experiences / Spa Assistant Manager / Manager, Sports & Fitness.
  • To be accountable for all actions
  • To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Director, Guest Experiences
  • Must attend daily and monthly Spa briefings.
  • Must attend all training as set down by the Director, Guest Experiences / Spa Manager / Manager, Sports and Leisure.
  • Must attend all required ESPA training.
  • Must attend all required One&Only Training.
  • To set an example by maintaining one’s fitness levels and avoiding smoking, substance abuse, and unhealthy eating habits.
  • Contribute to the overall health/wellness of the resort colleague – conducting colleague yoga classes, and talks on wellness/yoga topics for resort colleagues if required.
  • Adheres to all organizational policies and standards. And aware of house rules and obeys them.
  • He/ She is knowledgeable about the facilities and services provided by other One&Only Resorts
  • Abides by the resort’s rules and regulations and ensures that subordinates abide by them as well
  • Performs flexibility if working long hours when required.
  • At all times project a favorable image of the Spa& Fitness Team to the rest of the resort.
  • At all times to project a favorable image of One&Only Reethi Rah and One&Only Resorts to the public.
  • Handles any guest’s complaint professionally and effectively, as per the resort’s Policy and procedure (service recovery).
  • Practice proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort guests.
  • Ensures that a safe, hygienically fit working environment is always maintained by immediately paying attention to details and reporting any concerns or faults.
  • Ensures excellent communication and working relationships with colleagues are maintained and contribute to the team spirit.
  • Exhibits outstanding knowledge of the resort, island, atoll, and the Maldivian culture.
  • Knows and applies the resort’s Policies and procedures, including those for emergencies.
  • Ensures that all maintenance issues are reported to the Duty Manager immediately.
  • Ensures all fixed assets are well maintained.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and interest in goals, and objectives of the One&Only brand.
  • Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law.
  • Ensures that all tasks assigned by superiors are completed promptly.
  • Should be in abidance with the expectations defined in the job responsibilities.
