JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director, Engineering and in accordance with One&Only procedure, he takes part in the supervision of the task done by the team members of the department. The Environment & Gardening Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the landscaping and green spaces within the organization’s premises. This role involves managing a team to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor areas, promoting sustainable practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the supervision of punctuality of the team members.
- Responsible for the supervision of staff grooming standards & other resort policies.
- Responsible for the supervision of maintenance of all the gardens of the resort.
- Responsible for the supervision of beach & lagoon cleaning.
- Responsible for the supervision of beach & road maintenance.
- Responsible for the supervision of coconut tree maintenance.
- Responsible for the supervision of garbage maintenance of the resort.
- Responsible for the supervision of all the tools, chemicals & fertilizers.
- Responsible for the supervision of daily operations & the maintenance of the vehicles of the department.
- Responsible for the supervision of sand barge operations.
- Oversee the routine care and maintenance of gardens, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Plan and manage garden design and renovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Responsible for procurement and use of gardening supplies, equipment, and materials, maintaining cost-effectiveness
- Implement sustainable gardening practices and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Act as the primary contact for garden-related inquiries, communicating with internal teams and external partners effectively
- Maintain accurate records of garden activities, expenses, and project outcomes, and report to senior management as required
- Develop and execute comprehensive plans for garden and landscape management
- Any other task assigned by Director or superiors.
SKILL EXPEREINCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
- Need to know the basic work done in the garden.
- Need to have 2 years’ experience in the field.
- Good communication skills
- Hardworking and flexible in terms of working hours
- Need to be able to communicate with guests fully filling their needs.
- Computer literacy
