JOB SUMMARY

 

To lead the Resort Engineering Overall Operation along with the DOE and CE, ensuring a high standard maintenance of building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixture and equipment in all the departments. Empowering team members with proper guidance to Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources. 

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Implement the preventive maintenance plan and upkeep of engineering services.
  • Implement upgradation and replacement program for engineering systems and equipment.
  • As a Earth Check resort representative, will be fully responsible for carrying out necessary implementation, coordination with Earth Check representative. Conducting annual audits etc.  
  • Maintaining of FF/FA and other fire safety systems in the resort including carrying out risk assessment audits coordination with CE and DOE 
  • Execute the energy conservation programs to monitor HLP consumption daily basis.
  • CAPEX budget projects and replacement planning coordination along with CE and DOE. 
  • Ensure that all the engineering & maintenance activities/systems adhere to the standards/efficiency/productivity levels that have been set for the unit.
  • Recommend changes in processes, materials and equipment, in order to enhance service levels and improve operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical plant and monitor the operating efficiency of the plants.
  • Maintain the fire safety system through regular inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler system.
  • Follow up job / work order and make periodic checks of completed repair and maintenance work to ensure that the established standards have been met.
  • Co-ordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments on preventive maintenance of rooms and other repair work.
  • Maintain the complaint management & maintenance request system and ensure timely response to all the complaints and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure timely receiving of material & spares as per the standardized specifications.
  • Ensure that the government regulations for boilers, electrical installation and environment are strictly followed.
  • Keep informed of industry innovations and advances in technical and property management fields.

 

Managerial Responsibilities

 

 

  • In absence of CE, to work under DOE’s guidance to maintain a smooth operation of the department. 
  • Implement systems and procedures that ensure safety of guests, employees, plant, machinery, and property.
  • Staffing and scheduling of the department and allocation of duties.
  • Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Facilitate learning and development for all the team members of the department.
  • Performance Appraisal/ Management of the staff in the department.
  • To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, requested by your superiors or other Managers.  

 

SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT 

 

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the same position OR similar position in the hospitality industry.
  • Good commanding skills, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Must have theoretical and practical knowledge about General construction, mechanical and electrical. 
  • Ability to work hand-to-hand with technicians at any time of resort requirement.
  • Should have proper knowledge about all Hospitality Engineering systems, Project & asset management.
  • Must have an Engineering degree/diploma in the mechanical or electrical field.
