JOB SUMMARY
Assisting both guest requirements for photography shoots and providing content for the Commercial Team for Resort Marketing. Photograph people, landscapes, merchandise, or other subjects, using digital or film cameras and equipment. May develop negatives or use computer software to produce finished images and prints. Includes scientific photographers, and aerial photographers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Confidently operate traditional or digital cameras, along with a variety of equipment such as tripods, filters, and flash attachments. Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, ISO, and camera focus based on a combination of factors such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed. Determine desired images and picture composition, selecting and adjusting subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.
• Determine technical requirements of each shoot/project; test equipment before use to ensure all are in good working order; set up/assemble/mount photography and videography equipment and/or related equipment; assemble required accessories and supporting equipment according to subjects, models, venue, and conditions.
• Operate supporting equipment, i.e., create artificial light, using flashes and reflectors.
• Manage content, including transferring all files to computers for editing, archiving, and electronic transmission. Convert data among multiple digital or analog formats.
• Manipulate and enhance scanned or digital images and video to create desired effects, using computers and specialized software including Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
• Assisting the Sales & Marketing department to obtain Resort Content for Marketing campaigns, including the creation of mood boards and videography.
• Communicate effectively with guests and upsell photography packages during shoots and viewings. Confer with guests to determine needs and preferences. Review sets of photographs internally and with guests during viewings to select the best and preferred work.
• Execute shoots with guests professionally. Take pictures of individuals, couples, families, and small groups, in various iconic and picturesque locations around the resort.
• Be knowledgeable on key photo-op locations around the resort.
• Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, keeping books, and ordering supplies. Maintain records, documents, inventories of materials, equipment, or products, etc.
• Monitor the condition of equipment, perform maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment working properly, report incidents of breakages, equipment repair, and maintenance to the Department Head, and work with Sales & Marketing and Purchasing teams when repairs or new equipment are required.
• To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues at all levels.
• Assure professional attitude toward guests and colleagues at all times.
• Always maintains the highest levels of personal hygiene.
• Maintains a high standard of appearance and always grooming, as per One&Only standards.
• To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all work areas.
• To be fully aware of all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
• Reported any potentially hazardous situations within the workplace.
• To keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Apply and adhere to rules and regulations as per the employee handbook, departmental and resort policies, and procedures, including those for emergencies.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• At all times to project a favorable image of One&Only Reethi Rah and One&Only Resorts to the guests and public.
• professionally manages any guest’s complaint, as per the resort’s Policy & Procedure (service recovery).
• Practices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort guests.
• Ensures all activities are conducted honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

• Minimum 1-year work experience
• O-level and above with good grades in English
