JOB SUMMARY
The pool attendant is responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements, and maintaining an inventory of all poolside equipment to be always available for guest use. To consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures the overall safety of the pool and pool area.
• Should carry out daily inspection of pools especially the main pools before the guest arrivals.
• Should report immediately to the utility manager if any unusual differences in pools like water reading, color.
• Differences and odor found.
• Should follow rules and procedures meant for pool maintenance implemented by the organization.
• Work schedule is 8 hours per day.
• Each Pool Attendant must have the ability to work as a team member in cooperation with other team members like for villa pool villa attendants for public pools like SPA members or lifeguards.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
• 2 years of previous work experience in a pool setting is preferred.
• Pool attendants must be familiar with the safe handling of pool chemicals and the process to clean and sanitize the area. Pool attendants must have good communication skills when working with the swimming public.
• Must complete all mandatory training on MSDS, Safety, and orientation within ten (10) days of employment.
• Ability to work outdoors in seasonal heat or cold as well as inclement weather.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High School or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to produce quality, accurate work. Must be able to detect and correct errors.
