JOB SUMMARY
Is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance & and repair of all wooden structures and buildings of the Resort. This covers but is not limited to villas, Public Area buildings., Staff Accommodations, and Beach and Outdoor furniture. Is responsible for the construction, and fabrication of new furnishings, and in-house projects involving carpentry works as and when required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures planned progressive maintenance programs are implemented.
• Ensures that work is completed professionally, to a high standard of workmanship acceptable to O&O standards.
• Ensures correct materials are used in the right application.
• Ensure correct protective coatings are applied to furnishing in the manner prescribed.
• Ensures (MR) maintenance requests are carried out in an efficient, professional, and timely manner and backlogs are kept at a minimum acceptable level all the time.
• Ensures sufficient stock to do repair & maintenance is readily on hand, to meet the Resort’s requirements.
• Supervise & and coordinate the corrective maintenance and distribute workload amongst carpenters.
• Supervise 3rd-party contractors as and when required.
• Reports progress & and job completion to the Chief Engineer.
• Works with the PVMP/PAM team as required meeting program demands.
• Looks at new methodology and products to improve service and longevity of assets work.
• Participates with the Chief Engineer in the revision, planning, and recommendations of the yearly annual budget of the Carpentry Section.
• Initiates Purchase Requests for materials/parts needed in the execution of repair & and maintenance involving carpentry works.
• Ensures that the Workshop is always kept neat, tidy, and clean before knock-off time.
• Ensures that all maintenance work updates when tasked as ESOD (Eng’g Supervisor of the Day), are filled in completely and submitted to Maintenance Planner on time.
• Prepares & and submits completed attendance reports of all his subordinates, during the payroll cut-off period.
• Does other duties as may be required of him by his immediate superior.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
• Good communication & and interpersonal skills are an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory capacity in the field mentioned.
• At least a High School graduate with a good moral background in his educational attainment. Guest Driven
