JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Garden Overseer and in accordance with established procedures by One&Only, the colleague will be supervising and monitoring the tasks carried out by the department team members.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Supervise the punctuality and attendance of team members.
▪ Ensure staff grooming standards and adherence to all resort policies.
▪ Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of all resort gardens.
▪ Oversee beach and lagoon cleaning operations.
▪ Supervise beach and road maintenance activities.
▪ Manage coconut tree maintenance and related care.
▪ Oversee garbage collection and disposal across the resort.
▪ Supervise all tools, chemicals, fertilizers, and gardening equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
▪ Oversee daily operations and maintenance of departmental vehicles.
▪ Supervise sand barge operations.
▪ Oversee routine care and maintenance of gardens, including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
▪ Manage procurement and usage of gardening supplies, equipment, and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
▪ Implement sustainable gardening practices and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
▪ Act as the primary contact for garden-related inquiries, liaising effectively with internal teams and external partners.
▪ Maintain accurate records of garden activities, expenses, and operational outcomes, and submit reports to senior management.
▪ Develop and execute comprehensive plans for garden and landscape management.
▪ Monitor and ensure the overall quality and aesthetics of the resort landscaping.
▪ Ensure proper training and development of gardening staff.
▪ Any other task assigned by superior-level engineering.
SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
• Need to know the basic work done in the garden.
• Need to have 2 years’ experience in the field.
• Should be able to equally judge the team members.
• Should be able to write & and speak in English. Also, able to use the computer.
• Hardworking and should work long hours if required.
• Need to be able to communicate with guest’s full fill their needs
