Job Summary

Assisting guest requirements, suggesting options, and following up with guest requests. Displaying merchandise and pricing it by coordinating with the Team, maintaining neat and proper workplace and shop display. Maintaining excellent stock arrangement, Local replacement top-up order follow-up, and keeping track of inventory. Responsible for daily reports and any other reports related to retail.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for assisting all guests/staff with their shopping needs and ensuring a prompt and consistent level of customer service throughout.
• Responsible for receiving and excellent displaying of all new merchandise in retail.
• Responsible for keeping track of total inventory and informing Retail Manager/Supervisor as and when stock level is low and requires replenishment.
• Responsible for assisting the Retail Manager/Supervisor in changing visual merchandise on a regular basis and maintaining it as per guidelines.
• Responsible for always maintaining a pleasant and neat working environment and coordinating with Housekeeping for all cleaning matters.
• Prepares and submits daily sales/consignment report to Retail Manager at day end.
• Prepares and submits monthly sales/consignment reports to the Retail Manager at the end of the month.
• Responsible for price tagging and displaying items on arrival and consistently replenishing selling stock in the shop when sold. 
• Responsible for monthly inventory audit and reporting any discrepancy to the Retail Manager/Supervisor immediately.
• Responsible for opening and closing of Boutique.
• Responsible for upselling and offering various options for the guests to choose.
• Responsible for assisting the Retail Manager/Supervisor in making Purchase Requests and other purchases required for the department.
• Attends and participates in team events.
• Participates in required training related to the job. 
• To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleges at all levels.
• Always ensure a professional attitude towards guests and colleagues.   
• To be conscious and responsible regarding energy and water conservation.
• Report incidents of breakages, equipment repair, and maintenance to the Department Head. 
• Always maintains the highest levels of personal hygiene.
• To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all work areas.
• To be fully aware of all health and safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
• Responsible for reporting any potentially hazardous situations within the workplace.
• To keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Maintains a high standard of appearance and always grooming, as per One&Only standard.
• Apply and adhere to rules and regulations as per the employee handbook, departmental and resort policies, and procedures, including those for emergency situations.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• At all times to project a favorable image of One&Only Reethi Rah and One&Only Resorts to the guests and public.
• Handles any guest’s complaint in a professional manner, as per the resort’s Policy and procedure (service recovery).
• Practices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort guests.
• Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law.
• To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
