The therapist is responsible for administering expert massages, and face and body treatments to guests, VIPs, and press and has a methodical knowledge of several massage/therapy modalities. To deliver exceptional treatments to guests of the spa in line with ESPA and Hotel brand standards, whilst maintaining excellent five-star client care, cleaning standards, and grooming is a key part of the role. To learn the product and service protocols and standards to efficiently provide wellness solutions to meet the requirements of guests. To be responsible for revenue generation through retail, selling, and cross-sales to other business centers in the spa. Assist the Head Therapist in ensuring that all operational and administration procedures, codes of conduct, and standards are adhered to by therapists.


•    Responsible for achieving retail sales targets as set by the Spa Director •    Ensure aftercare recommendations are made at the end of every treatment, linking with client concerns, and offering to prepare products at reception for purchase.
•    Encourage clients to return to the spa by recommending an ongoing treatment program and cross-selling the other business centers in the spa. Maintain a sound knowledge of all treatments, packages, and any promotions.
•    Participate in demonstrations/ events as required.
•    Ensure that daily sales figures are accurately recorded.
•    Assist the Head Therapist in monitoring therapist targets and provide motivation and training where necessary.
•    Perform treatment for VIPs and journalists as required and to the highest standard.
•    Support the Head Therapist by helping with the Therapist roster, stock control, stock takes, and orders as requested.
•    Responsible for providing treatments for VIPs and journalists, representing ESPA and the Hotel as Ambassadors of the spa.
•    Assist the Head Therapist in maintaining the cleanliness, sterilization, and hygiene of all equipment, products, and linens in the treatment and preparation area, following ESPA protocols.
•    Set an example to all therapists in daily work, professionalism, and standards.
•    Responsible for motivation of therapist and reporting to the Head therapist on the ambiance of the team at any given time
•    To constantly evaluate where additional small touches can be added to create memories and 5-star experiences for the guests.
•    To record all training conducted and prepare an attendance sheet for each training session.
•    To be fully aware of the daily bookings schedule and to keep updated with any changes at the reception continually throughout the day.
•    Perform all treatments at an exceptional standard, as per the ESPA protocols and standards taught in training, whilst tailoring to the client’s specific needs
•    Update own knowledge of products and treatment brand standards, outside of formal training by ESPA and Head Therapist
•    Carry out an in-depth consultation with each client before treatment, ensuring medical history and concerns are identified.
•    Protect the guest experience by moving quietly around the treatment room and in corridors.
•    Always protect confidentiality including personal data, medical details, and any information provided in confidence by the client.
•    Use the correct quantities of products as specified by the manufacturer and do not exceed that amount.
•    Maintain linen and product levels in the treatment rooms, ensuring trolleys are stocked, clean, and organized as per the spa standards.
•    Follow treatment room opening and closing procedures correctly, reporting any maintenance issues to the Duty Manager
•    Performing opening and closing treatment room checks- cleanliness, hygiene, room set up, stock levels, and maintenance checks.
•    Provide a warm welcome to clientele whilst striving to provide outstanding service.
•    Maintain the highest standard of guest service by following ESPA protocols and displaying genuine care and attention to detail.
•    Consistently record guest preferences, accurately update guest profiles and communicate any relevant information to colleagues.
•    Always ensure confidentiality including data protection, medical details, and any information p [provided in confidence by the client.
•    Report any guest complaints to the Duty Manager so that they can be handled promptly and effectively.
•    Perform all the treatments in a professional, hygienic, and safe manner for all clients, updating knowledge and training regularly.
•    Day-to-day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness, and hygiene of the treatment and preparation areas.
•    Attend training on all relevant legislation about the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards.
•    Act responsibly always about personal safety along with the safety of colleagues and guests of the spa
•    Support the Spa Attendants where required in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the spa facilities.
•    Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Spa Director
•    Always be punctual and prepared in advance of treatment.
•    Support all departments in the spa including covering reception and spa attendant duties as and when required.
•    Must adhere to training as set down by the head Therapist and attend all training courses as deemed necessary.
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.


•    Fluent in English written and spoken, and other languages a distinctive advantage. •    Prior education and Diplomas as aesthetician and body therapist.
•    Three years of professional experience in Massage Therapy.
•    Thorough knowledge of the human body, anatomy, and physiology.
•    Previous experience in a five-star Resort/Spa (minimum 2 years).
•    To have a broad understanding of massage therapies, and face and body treatments. 
•    Experience as a senior therapist role minimum 2 years.
•    To possess outstanding communication skills.
•    Attention to detail and aptitude to maintain a very hygienic environment.
•    To have a positive and proactive attitude.
•    To have outstanding customer service skills and a welcoming and sociable personality.
•    Experience in handling guest complaints effectively.
•    Strong leadership skills and in conducting training for therapists.
•    Good command over all processing documents, computer skills, and managing databases such as Microsoft products, Spa Soft, and Opera software.
•    To count with ESPA certificates/Diplomas of Essential ESPA training/level: Aromatherapy Massage, Product Knowledge, Balinese Massage, Scrubs and Body Wraps, and Intensive Facials. 
•    To count with a Diploma on Concept ESPA training/level: Chakra Balancing treatment (Energy Equalizer), Hot Stones treatment, Firming Hip & Thigh, Prenatal Treatment.
•    To count with Certificate/Diploma on Advance-Ayurvedic ESPA training/ level: Ama Releasing Abyanga, Purva Karma four hands massage, Ayurvedic Abyanga, Shirodhara, Dosha Body Wrap, Super Active, Age defying Radiance and Cellular Hydration Facials, Abdominal Cleanse, Detox Cleanse, Contour & Firm. 
•    Additional therapies such as Watsu, reiki, craniosacral, crystal therapy, transformational breathing, and Lomi Lomi among other therapies are a plus to the role and are a distinctive advantage.
•    To count with experience in Waxing, manicure pedicure, or other beautician treatments are a distinctive advantage.
