JOB SUMMARY
•    One&Only Reethi Rah Valet, Villa will maximize and exceed Guest satisfaction by providing a very high-end personalized Villa Service. At the same time, they offer a warm, relaxed, yet refined ambiance with a sense of place. By liaising with other support departments whenever necessary, a Villa Valet will perform all tasks by the standards established by One&Only Reethi Rah.
•    A Valet, Villa is expected to have an intelligent and neat appearance, which reflects the highest standards of One&Only Reethi Rah. A warm, genuine smile that shows a personal interest in each Guest and a genuine eagerness to be of service at any time. A Valet, Villa is a prompt, courteous, organized, well-groomed, discreet, honest, trusting rind trustworthy, friendly but not familiar, reliable, low crucial, immaculate, professional, flexible, punctual, knowledgeable, well-mannered, discreet hotel professional committed to the highest standards of service. He/she is a professional who anticipates, expedites, organizes, implements, delegates, and brings full involvement. He/she maintains the Guest's privacy and confidentiality.
•    A Valet, Villa is a TRUE ambassador of One&Only Reethi Rah. His/her actions and behavior are faultless.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    To follow and maintain all standards and procedures for housekeeping service.
•    Maintain and clean guest villas, outdoor areas, and pantries according to One & Only Standards
•    Make notes and communicate any guest requests and preferences.
•    Ensure all interactions with guests are professional and polite.
•    Ensure proper use and care of equipment.
•    Ensure the Lost and Found procedures are always adhered to.
•    Ensure supplies, amenities, and linens are replenished as per standard.
•    Ensure the villa linen is well looked after and in good condition.
•    Provide day and turndown service to guest villas according to procedures.
•    Ensure Villa and service pantries are well taken care of and should be well-organized, well-stocked, and cleaned.
•    Update villa status upon completion of service.
•    Always keep work areas neat, tidy, and stocked according to the required levels.
•    The ability to maintain safe work practices.
•    The ability to take ownership in the assigned area of preventative maintenance programs and ensure the work and cleanliness is to the highest possible standards and it is completed promptly.
•    Ensure all defects are reported immediately and follow up to ensure they have been completed promptly.
•    Provide Bed Decorations, Bath Ceremonies, and Balloon Decorations when allocated as per the guest package and any upselling.
•    Ensure all the Amenities (Daily Fruits, Turndown Gifts, Departure Gifts, etc.) provided to villas are well taken care of and delivered promptly.
•    Ensure the inside and outside of the villas are fully cleaned. All wall cladding and woodwork outside the villas must be free of dried salt residue and dust.
•    Ensure all furniture and fixtures inside and outside the villas are free of dust and in good condition.
•    Ensure all the drainage channels with black pebbles are free of sand and dried leaves.
•    Ensure all cutlery and glassware in the villas are washed and dried at all service times according to O&ORR procedure to meet the hygiene standard.
•    Ensure the minibar items are checked and charged regularly.
•    Ensure all the villa items (furniture, cutleries, glassware, machinery, cushions, linens, amenities, decorative items, electronics, etc.) are well taken care of and are responsible for any damages or loss.
•    Ensure Housekeeping Sustainability programs in villas are followed and well-communicated.
•    Assist in new colleague Job Skill training when Team Leader, Assistant Manager, or Manager, Housekeeping requests.
•    Ensure that the tasks provided daily are executed to the expectation of O&O RR standard.
•    Report anything not functioning correctly or broken to the Team Leader and housekeeping.
•    Work above your normal hours when requested by Managers.
•    Undertake additional duties as requested by the Team Leader, Assistant Manager, or Manager, Housekeeping
•    Attends and participates in team events.
•    Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
•    Participates in required training related to the job.
•    To effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues at all levels.
•    Always Ensure a professional attitude towards guests and colleagues.
•    Ensure to always meet the Grooming and Hygiene policy of One8cOnly Reethi Rah when in uniform.
•    To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.
Attending Briefings Training and communication
•    Attends briefing in a self-motivated manner, well prepared with all facts and information about the guest’s arrivals, departures, special occasions, activities, and special promotions in the resort.
•    Reports to shift on time, “Dressed to Impress” in the issued uniform, and groomed as described in the grooming standards.
•    Participate in Housekeeping Departmental daily lineups, afternoon lines-ups, and monthly/quarterly departmental meetings.
•    Attend all compulsory training and meetings.
•    Obtain assigned section Valet, Villa key/Wristband and ensure its security.
•    Ensure the daily task sheets, minibar checklist, and other occasional checklist/forms provided are filled and handed over to the Administrator and housekeeping at the end of each task.
•    Take note of information and updates given by the Assistant Manager and Manager, Housekeeping
•    Check the department and the colleague's notice board for updated Guest or Resort information.
•    Update daily worksheets, noting arrivals, departures, or occupied Villas and any requests or preferences, including allergies.
Pre-Arrival & Arrival of Guests
•    Checks all guests’ preferences, and arrival times and ensures the villa is set up before arrival with all requested amenities.
•    Unpack and pack Guest luggage upon guest request.
During Guest Stay
•    Ensure Guest Privacy is adhered to all the time. DND (do not disturb) procedure must be followed according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
•    Collect Guest’s Laundry, pressing and dry cleaning ensuring all the items are returned after processing.
•    Maintain Guest wardrobe in a neat, tidy fashion always.
•    Polish or clean Guest’s shoes during each service
•    Inform respective Departments of all Villas that require maintenance service.
•    Physically check all occupied and vacant Villas daily
•    Maintain and check all Villas to ensure that equipment is functioning to the standards of the company.
•    Tailored or personalized Mini bar according to Guest preference and ensure expiry is checked regularly.
•    Respond to Guest requests within 10 minutes.
•    Report incidents and Guest complaints to Team Leader, Housekeeping
•    Assist other departments as directed by the Assistant Manager or Manager of housekeeping.
•    To deliver any deliveries to the Villas as directed by the Administrator or Team Leader, Housekeeping
•    Departure villas to attend 30 minutes before and check the villa for any items guests had left behind, any items guests had consumed from the Minibar, and any damages to villa items/property.
•    Need to strive to know as much as possible about the Guests while always remaining unobtrusive to better plan actions that will blow away the guests daily.
•    Required to make and create "WOW" moments for Guests whenever necessary on each Guest stay.
•    Needs to set Villas with different decorations for Guests celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, weddings, etc.
•    Must be responsible for preserving all Guest Preferences and communicating them over to the Team Leader or Administrator, Housekeeping for future visits.
•    Familiarizes him/herself with different amenities and VIP programs and ensures the quality and quantities are always checked.
•    Should always volunteer to provide genuine and professional service: "I am delighted to assist you, Mr./s.... "Is there anything else I can do for you?”
•    Ensures a proper handover of tasks and duties at the end of each working shift for follow-up by other colleagues.

 

SKILL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

•    Be fluent in English.
•    Able to communicate with guests and fellow employees clearly and pleasantly both in person and by telephone.
•    A minimum of 2 years of experience in the fields of Housekeeping Department and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service-related field, preferably the hospitality industry
•    To be highly cost-conscious and initiate subordinates to minimize cost on all levels and maximize revenue.
•    Ability to work conscientiously, meet deadlines, and follow instructions and directions with minimal supervision.
•    Must be very adaptable to change.
•    Must be very proactive.
•    Ability to work in a self-motivated environment with little supervision.
•    Has IT (Information Technology) knowledge to set up Play Station consoles, laptops, and TV-internet connections. Knows how to operate the TV, DVD/ iPod, iPad, iPhone, and safe.
•    Valet, Villa has a thorough knowledge of how to operate the TV, Sound System, and Coffee Machine in all our villas.
