About the Role
The Assistant Cook (Pastry) is responsible to assist on the operation of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To check general cleaning of all sections and all work surfaces, before and after each service or mep.
- To ensure that all foods stored in the fridge are labelled with date and name of products.
- To be responsible of receiving and storage of goods and check quality of all received goods (from dry store, deep freeze, and vegetables. FIFO).
- To communicate clearly, frequently and in a timely manner.
- To share information with colleagues.
- To execute duties thoroughly, producing quality outputs with attention to details.
- To adopt the Mission and Vision of the company.
- To be more cautious during service time.
- To always be on time, on schedule and to respond to supervisor positively.
- To report any incident to the Supervisor or Chef immediately to take action.
- To do daily walk through in the kitchen to ensure that the equipment is in good condition.
- To check MEP.
- To maintain a good hygiene in the kitchen and to always keep clean.
- To be involved in achieving budgeted food cost and in reducing wastage, to make profit.
- To be involved in learning new technics from Supervisors.
- To check daily reservation and MEP according to occupancy.
- To always be consistent on all food served during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- To always seek for innovative ideas.
About You
The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate level 3 in Food Production. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
