Job Summary
Drive Sales function by assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing in overseeing the Sales and other relevant teams (I.e. Reservations if applicable) and ensuring the department is working efficiently and clients are looked after well. Ensuring the General Sales activities are carried out and guest satisfaction index goes on up word trend.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Personally build clear and open lines of communication with all departments
- Understand Mauritius business trend in terms of targeting right market. Also be aware of the political up lift of the country.
- Be actively involved in maintaining all Kerzner International programs.
- Build a team with different opinions, skills, experiences, and backgrounds; leverage personal, cultural, and functional differences to optimize team performance. Manage the Team with positivity and ensure great teamwork and a happy and fun environment for the team with regular coaching.
- Develop strong strategic relationship with the GM and ensure regular communication on plans and actions being driven from RSO, DOSM and across the sales team.
- Drive activity with our contracted DMC’s and arrange regular visits.
- Actively involved and work with Finance department in tour operator contracting.
- Organize tour operator visit to One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius to showcase the resort on regular interval.
- Ensure all communications are aligned to the One&Only brand image.
- Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the community.
- Create an environment that trains, develops, coaches and mentor’s colleagues.
- Be innovative with everything you do.
- Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings.
- Drive GSQ action plan follow up on a monthly basis with direct reports.
- Work closely with marketing, revenue, group sales, F&B etc. to drive all the events.
- Respond to all internal email from various function i.e. reservation, rooms, F&B
- Involve in finalization of any big event query i.e. wedding, birthday party, gala dinner etc.
- Attend morning meeting and represent Sales & Marketing function
- Work closely with reservation team to give support from Sales point of view
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the DOSM and substantial admin work related to contracting and email/phone communication with RSO’s, contracted accounts and Reservations which is inextricably linked.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.
- Be innovative, financially savvy, provide instinctive service and be inspirational.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- 3 years of similar role experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
