About the Role

The Bar Waiter is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage and food service to guests in the bar and lounge areas. The role involves taking orders, serving drinks and snacks promptly, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, and ensuring a memorable guest experience in line with the resort's service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service at all times.
• Present beverage and food menus and make recommendations when required.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them efficiently to the bar team.
• Serve drinks, cocktails, wines, spirits, and food items according to service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining and drinking experience.

Operational Duties

• Prepare tables, bar seating areas, and service stations before opening.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and service stations.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently.
• Assist with stock replenishment, glassware polishing, and inventory control.
• Follow cash handling and billing procedures accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.

Quality & Compliance

• Adhere to company policies, Forbes, and LQA service standards where applicable.
• Verify legal drinking age requirements when necessary.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when required.
• Maintain product knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and promotions.

About You

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Waiter, Bar Waiter, or similar hospitality role.
• Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and bar service procedures.
• Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.
• Hospitality certification will be considered an asset.
