About the Role

The Cook is responsible for the daily operation of breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as for executing the duties thoroughly by producing quality outputs and by paying attention to details.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To check the general hygiene of all sections/work surfaces before and after each service.
  • To ensure that all food stored in the fridge are labelled with date and name of products.
  • To be responsible for receiving, storing, and checking the quality of all goods.
  • To share necessary information with colleagues.
  • To always be cautious during service time.
  • To always be on schedule.
  • To report any incident to the Superiors so that action is immediately taken.
  • To do daily walkthrough in the kitchen to ensure that the equipment is in good condition.
  • To check the daily operation, reservation, and MEP according to occupancy.
  • To be consistent on all food served.
  • To be firmly involved in achieving budgeted food costs and in reducing wastage.
  • To be involved in learning new techniques from Superiors.
  • To always seek innovative ideas.

 

About You

The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate level 3 in Food Production. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
