About the Role

Is responsible for providing support in the various Human Resources functions, which include recruitment, staffing, employee counseling, filing etc.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working alongside an existing Human Resources team, responsible for the provision of comprehensive guidance on various HR matters for dedicated areas of the business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff
  • Schedule and organize applicant interviews
  • Conduct reference checks on possible candidates
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Providing counseling on policies and procedures
  • Being actively involved in recruitment
  • Maintain employee records
  • Lead and manage various HR projects as directed by the Human Resources Manager and in line with HR objectives
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
  • maintaining employee files and the HR filing system
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
  • assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office
  • Administration of Medical Insurance
  • Assisting with employee relations
  • Holds regular briefings and meetings with staff members at functional level to share information and resolve work issues
  • Informs the Manager and / or Director, Human Resources of critical human resource situations and issues, as and when required
  • Provides channels for employee grievances and suggestions
  • Converses with team members whenever possible to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Follows complaint and other matters with the relevant authorities
  • Initiates and oversees the organization of Striver Award Ceremony (Quarter and Annual)
  • Prepares monthly Head Count
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping confidential information
  • Any other cognate duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Human Resources Manager and / or Director to facilitate the smooth running of the hotel
  • Preparing contracts of newcomers
  • Any other cognate duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Human Resources Manager, Talent Manager and / or Human Resources Director to facilitate the smooth running of the hotel.
  • May not make policy or procedural changes without prior approval of the Human Resources Director.
  • May not make statements to the press.
  • May not make changes to or in any way concerning standard operation procedures without authority of the Human Resources Director.
  • May not authorize salary and wages adjustments.

About You

The ideal candidate should have at least a degree in Tourism Management. The candidate should have some experience in the same role in an International Ultra-Luxury Resort and must have the knowledge of local labour law and supporting legislations. He/ She must be fluent in written and spoken English and French and be computer literate.
