We are seeking a visionary Director, Human Resources who reports to the General Manager to lead our people strategy and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our resort and One&Only Private Homes. This position is central to fostering a culture of engagement, excellence, and growth for our colleagues, ensuring they thrive and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Design and implement innovative strategies to enhance colleague engagement, creating an inspiring and inclusive workplace that aligns with our brand values.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive training and development programs to nurture talent, build leadership capabilities, and support career progression.
  • Collaborate with resort leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, ensuring a seamless integration of people initiatives into operational success. Partner with the General Manager to drive the business through our people.
  • Champion the unique One&Only culture, fostering an environment of trust, respect, and collaboration across all teams.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and global best practices.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure a workplace that celebrates different perspectives and backgrounds.

 

Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

 

  • A proven track record in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within the luxury hospitality sector or a similar high-performance environment.
  • A deep commitment to people development, engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Exceptional ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a diverse team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies to operational and organizational objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices, including talent management, labor laws, and employee relations, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Adaptable and empathetic, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering luxury-level service through people.
