About the Role

The Lobby Host is the front liner under the general direction of the Manager, Front Office/Assistant, Manager, Front Office/Resort Assistant Managers and within the limits of the established Hotel policies and procedures who oversees and directs all aspects of the guest relations function to achieve the highest possible guest satisfaction.   

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the airport host & concierge regarding daily flight details.
  • To coordinate with the airport host to know the type of vehicle and the plate number in which the guests are traveling.
  • To greet and welcome guests courteously upon arrival.
  • To be responsible for answering and forwarding of all calls.
  • To relay and route written and verbal messages.
  • To check if all equipment is in good working conditions and in the required quantity (towels, welcoming drinks).
  • To ensure cleanliness of the working area.
  • To be responsible for the welcoming of guests at time of check-in and to accompany guest in the lobby by presenting themselves.
  • To thank the guests for choosing the Hotel for the stay.
  • To keep an accurate time of arrival and departures.
  • To make guests seated in designated places.
  • To help host in serving towels and departure drinks when there is bulk arrival and departure.
  • To have a broad and precise knowledge of all arrival and departure guests in the lobby.
  • To coordinate the Hosts/Assistant Managers, Resort/Managers/EXCOM for all arrival and departure guests.
  • To deal with special requests from guests, such as ordering taxis, booking theatre trips, or storing valuables and luggage.
  • To answer questions about facilities in the Hotel and the surrounding area.
  • To deal with any guest complaints or problems and highlight to the Assistant Managers, Resort.
  • To inform the Seniors about all the guest complaints and request by email attached with Guest Incident Report (GIR).
  • To forward callers to the appropriate extension/department.
  • To assist the Assistant Manager Front Office/Manager, Front Office with secretarial duties.
  • To assist with customer service inquiries and guide them to respective outlets.
  • To ensure that checklists are filled in each shift, checked, and approved by Assistant Managers, Resort and sent daily to the reporting line.
  • To collect guest preferences upon arrival and departure and insert in SAGA.
  • To upsell Hotel facilities.
  • To program key cards.
  • To follow up on Alice App requests for luggage pick up.
  • To respect policies and procedures enforced regarding appearance, hygiene, and sanitation.
  • To attend Training given by the reporting line.
  • To carry out any associated clerical duties as and when required.
  • To participate in any extra curriculum activities.
  • To assist in check out, whenever required.
  • To bid farewell to guests and ask them feedback.
  • To invite guests to use different platform to share their review.

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a Higher School Certificate and a National Certificate level 3 in Front Office. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
