About the Role

The Mixologist is responsible for creating, preparing, and serving a wide range of innovative and high-quality beverages while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The role requires extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and mixology techniques, ensuring that beverage offerings align with the resort's luxury standards. The Mixologist will contribute to menu development, maintain bar operations, and uphold hygiene, safety, and service excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Creation & Service

• Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails, mocktails, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Develop new and innovative beverage menus that enhance the guest experience.
• Provide personalized recommendations based on guests' preferences and tastes.
• Ensure consistency in beverage presentation, quality, and portion control.

Guest Experience

• Deliver exceptional and engaging service to guests at all times.
• Interact professionally with guests, explaining cocktail ingredients and preparation methods.
• Anticipate guest needs and handle requests or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere at the bar.

Bar Operations

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked and organized at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with company and food safety regulations.
• Follow cash handling and billing procedures accurately.

Quality & Compliance

• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Minimize beverage wastage through proper stock control and handling procedures.
• Participate in regular training sessions and product knowledge updates.

Team Collaboration

• Support and assist bartenders and other Food & Beverage team members as required.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior bar staff on cocktail preparation and service standards.
• Collaborate with management on promotions, events, and beverage innovation initiatives.

About You

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Mixologist, Bartender, or similar role within a luxury hotel, resort, restaurant, lounge, or upscale bar environment.

• Certificate, Diploma, or professional training in Bartending, Mixology, Hospitality Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Proven experience in creating signature cocktails and beverage menus.
• Knowledge of beverage costing, stock control, and liquor regulations.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Experience in a luxury hospitality environment is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and beverage trends.
• Strong cocktail creation and presentation skills.
• Exceptional guest service and communication abilities.
• Creativity and passion for mixology and beverage innovation.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
