About the Role
To manage press & influence itineraries, special events planning, press trips, community relations & quality management, CSR philanthropy initiatives and reinforcing resort marketing strategies and tactical implementation as well as end to end production, implementation and reporting in support of the Director of Marketing and the resort.
To ensure maximum exposure for the resort, at the highest standards in keeping with the resort’s mission statement and core values, and highest level of communication of all products, services and events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communication, the Manager, Marketing & Communication liaises with the Kerzner Global Brand Creative Marketing Communications teams and respective international PR Agencies contracted by Kerzner International, to review, plan and execute participation in promotional marketing campaigns, press trips and individual journalist visit to the resort.
- The Manager, Marketing & Communication ensures a clear leadership of marketing and communication teams, and acts as a direct relay to the Director of Marketing and Communication. They provide teaching and guidance to subordinates with regards to company SOPs, brand standards and how to apply them, ensuring fullest departmental compliance.
- Prepares and reviews the policies and procedures for educational, press trips, interline and complimentary accommodations, and then ensures the procedures are implemented.
- Coordinates all marketing initiatives in tandem with Resort Marketing Assistant Manager and MarComs Assistant Manager, prepares programs and creative formats as appropriate in order to obtain maximum exposure for the resort.
- Reviews and evaluates all marketing and communication initiatives, including monthly reporting for internal presentation and KPIs measurement against actual performance.
- Regularly discusses with overseas offices and Director of Marketing & Communication new ideas for promoting press, influence and trade engagement.
- Coordinates drafting and distribution of creative templates, brochures, marketing collaterals after being approved by Director of Marketing & Communication, General Manager and Global Brand Marketing.
- Coordinates with the Director of Marketing & Communication the launch of new products, services and events.
- Liaises with the Director of Marketing & Communication and other Department Heads for all collateral and printing requirements.
- Reviews and updates all press kits/packs and website auditing on a regular basis.
- Is in charge of issuance of trade and guests newsletters as well as daily planners.
- Works closely with all departments to ensure that all collateral and resort information remains consistent and adheres to brand guidelines, as per Guest Communications SOP.
- Compiles feedback on competitors’ activities and market intelligence.
- Keeps the local database updated for regular sending of information on happenings at the resort.
- Is in charge of social media and quality management responses and analysis.
- Keep the resort’s website accurate and up-to-date.
About you
The desired qualification for this role is at least a Degree in hospitality Management or Relative field . The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
