About the Role
To ensure that all departments - Front Office, Guest experience and Host under his supervision are successful and as independent profit center as possible, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with our hotel standards, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling all aspects related to the revenues and operating expenses. Maintain a quality and high level of service as per the Hotel standard and policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend daily operations Meeting
- Work closely with the Director of homes.
- Conduct morning line up
- Manage roster and manning, ensuring staffing levels is adequate to handle business volume
- Meet and greet guests upon arrival and departure
- Proper handling of special requests, VIP'S ,guest requirements and guest complaints
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, vouchering, schedules, forecasts, reports and tracking logs
- Ensure that colleagues are recording of room preferences of guest at resort
- Solve room allocation issues and ensure all bookings request are met
- Attendance and participation at weekly/monthly department head meetings
- Gives his subordinates frequent feedback on their performance and status of development.
- Conducts annual appraisals to his subordinates in the department.
- Responsibile for leaders on duties roaster and all departmental leaders.
- Maintains an atmosphere of tranquility at the Front Desk
- Ensure that corporate, divisional and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all levels
- Liaise closely with other departments and emphasizes on excellent inter-departmental relations
- Delegate authority and responsibilities to direct subordinates without relinquish ultimate responsibility for the operation
- Ensures that policies and procedures in regards to staff appearance, hygiene and sanitation are enforced
- Trains, cross –trains, and retrains all front office personnel.
- Keep an accurate room status at all times
- Work together with team ensure that all departmental target/goals are achieved
- Assist Housekeeping and Maintenance department with resolving room discrepancies
- Participation towards overall Hotel Maintenance and Cleanliness
- Managing e-mail reservations and reply to customer queries
- Ensure the team leaders and supervisors co-ordinate their staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional front of house service
About you
The desired qualification for this role is at least a Bachelor degree in Hospitality. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the managerial role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
