About the Role

The Porter will welcome and greet guests upon arrival and departure as per the One & Only Standards; and will be responsible for good luggage handling together with personalized service including great care and courtesy, while always demonstrating our Genuine Hospitality to all our guests.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To attend daily line up.
  • To be responsible for the lobby cleanliness, bell desk, trolleys, luggage room and club cars.
  • To ensure all messages/parcels are delivered to the rooms in a timely manner.
  • To prepare welcome towels and manage inventory.
  • To take ownership of all requisitions needed.
  • To manage emails.
  • To update flight information in system.
  • To answer telephone calls.
  • To ensure all activities are properly logged down with a clear record at the bell desk.
  • To perform all duties as per the hotel policies.
  • To deliver a personalized service when escorting guests to their respective transfers.
  • To read the daily arrival and departure list.
  • To keep a record of all transfers daily.
  • To perform any cognate duties related to the job.
  • To ensure delivery of luggage as per the hotel policy.
  • To assist guests with directions.
  • To work as a team to ensure that all departmental targets/goals are achieved.
  • To ensure that corporate, divisional, and departmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all levels.
  • To ensure that the checklist is filled/filed and sent to the reporting line on a daily basis via mail.
  • To liaise with inter-department for all helicopter arrivals.
  • To have constant communication with the airport team.
  • To offer valet parking service.

 

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
