About the Role
The Procurement Clerk is responsible for planning and organising all general merchandise items to ensure that the highest quality product is purchased at the best possible price and that orders are placed and received properly.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To communicate with Outlet Managers about the purchases according to the hotel needs and specifications.
- To negotiate pricing and to purchase goods.
- To ensure delivery in a timely manner.
- To prepare purchase orders.
- To review shipments, ensuring that the products received are in a consistent order.
- To be responsible for monitoring grades and quality of products, ensuring that they meet the hotel’s standards.
- To complete administrative duties as detailed by Manager, Procurement.
- To analyze, distribute and file the daily flow of information to and from the office.
- To be responsible for the setting and maintenance of the Purchasing Office filing system.
- To order monthly market list and to inform any discrepancy in the listed price to the Manager, Procurement.
- To process the Local Purchase Order and to keep record of the same.
- To liaise closely with the Receiving Department and to follow up with suppliers for pending deliveries.
- To make price comparison sheets of the market survey conducted.
- To comply with the hotel’s policy and procedures.
About You
The desired qualification for this role is at least a Higher School Certificate. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an International Ultra-Luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
