About the Role

The Public Area Cleaner is responsible for the service, supply and maintenance of all the Hotel’s public/common areas including the outlets, pools, and offices.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To attend duty on time in correct uniform and well groomed.
  • To attend daily briefing at the beginning of each shift.
  • To be fully trained on the Hotel’s standards and procedures required to carry out daily tasks.
  • To follow the Hotel’s key control policy.
  • To use and maintain all chemicals, supplies and equipment as per Hotel standards.
  • To clean, service and maintain the allocated section, area, outlet, and restrooms throughout the day.
  • To make sure all furniture are kept up to standards and in the correct position.
  • To report any damage to the Supervisor in charge.
  • To check all flowers arrangements and report flowers to be replaced to the Florist or the Supervisor in charge.
  • To clean, replenish and prepare all areas as per the Hotel standards.
  • To clear and clean the stores as well as to empty the garbage.
  • To operate machinery and equipment according to the Hotel standards.
  • To report lost and found articles as per Hotel standards.
  • To report any unusual guest behaviour or activity as per Hotel standards.
  • To have thorough knowledge of the layout of the Hotel and all Housekeeping storage spaces with what they hold.
  • To follow the Hotel’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • To be able to work on a rotating roster including morning, evening, overnight weekends, and public holidays.
  • To be flexible and work in different areas of the Housekeeping department as business requires.

 

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate Level 3 in Housekeeping. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
