About the Role

The Room Service Waiter is responsible to always provide the highest level of customer service to our guests by providing them food and beverages in a timely manner as per set S.O.P.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To start working as per schedule.
  • To have good product knowledge of the food & beverages served. 
  • To listen and to respond to customer complaints (acknowledge, apologise, etc.).
  • To always proper room service policies/procedures.
  • To adhere oneself to standardised room entering policies.
  • To work well individually by following all S.O.Ps and to cooperate with all team members.
  • To always maintain high standards of cleanliness of the IRD department.
  • To be flexible on working hours.
  • To always come prepared for a shift with a note pad, corkscrew, bottle opener, and pen.
  • To handle cash and to be responsible for it as well as to be familiar with credit/debit card procedures.
  • To always be courteous, pleasant, and well-groomed as per grooming standard.
  • To attend staff meetings.
  • To provide the highest level of customer service to both internal/external customers in a professional and hospitable manner.
  • To carry out all other duties as delegated by the Manager/Supervisor/Order Taker.
  • To collect and to check requisitions from store. 
  • To be responsible for organising, maintaining and cleaning of all venues falling under the IRD responsibilities and to deliver all necessary services.
  • To act as Order Taker, when necessary.
  • To help all colleagues during peak times as well to help in coordinating and setting up MEP.
  • To abide to all procedures/policies for maintaining cleanliness of Poseidon bottle plant as well as for washing, filling, and delivering of bottles.
  • To ensure that all service trays are clean and tidy; that setups are done as per S.O.P; and that food deliveries in rooms are always done as per the required standard.

 

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate Level 3 in Restaurant and Bar Service. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
