About the Role

The Supervisor, Public Area is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the daily cleaning and maintenance of all the indoor and outdoor public areas of the Resort, ensuring everything is according to the standards set.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To assist the Housekeeping leaders to monitor and coordinate all aspects of the Public Areas operations.   
• To attend duty on time in correct uniform and well groomed.
• To attend daily scheduled briefings.
• To be fully trained on Resort standards and procedures required to carry out daily tasks.
• To follow the Resort’s key control policy.
• To use and maintain all chemicals, supplies and equipment as per the Resort’s standards.
• To carry out inspections of assigned areas and ensures highest possible standard of cleanliness and maintenance of all areas.
• To monitor and report to the Superiors regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment.
• To carry out good communication with team members ensuring performance is effectively managed.
• To ensure that the daily cleaning and maintenance of all indoor and outdoor public areas of the Resort are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, as per the Resort’s standard procedures.
• To ensure the night cleaning of all areas is carried out according to the Resort’s standards.
• To inspect and ensure that tools and equipment are used correctly and not obstructing any guest areas as per the Resort’s standards.
• To report any damage to the Engineering department and to follow up to make sure it is done.
• To ensure that all team members adhere to the Health and Safety standards.
• To prepare all scheduling for the team as per the Resort’s requirements.
• To monitor usage of cleaning supplies.
• To ensure that all team members are trained and introduced to their duties as per the Resort’s standards and policies.
• To carry out on the job training when required, ensuring the team is kept updated in carrying out their daily tasks.
• To attend daily briefing with the Housekeeping leaders, to communicate and to report daily operational issues, requirements or other.
• To be flexible in working hours and scheduling as per the Resort’s requirements.
• To assist subordinates during daily peak periods.
• To participate in Housekeeping meetings and to make suggestions for improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
• To participate in the multi – skilling philosophy of the department.

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a School Certificate and a National Certificate Level 3 in Housekeeping. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
