About the Role

The Supervisor, Public Area is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the daily cleaning and maintenance of all the indoor and outdoor public areas of the Resort, ensuring everything is according to the standards set.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To assist the Housekeeping leaders to monitor and coordinate all aspects of the Public Areas operations.   
• To attend duty on time in correct uniform and well groomed.
• To attend daily scheduled briefings.
• To be fully trained on Resort standards and procedures required to carry out daily tasks.
• To follow the Resort’s key control policy.
• To use and maintain all chemicals, supplies and equipment as per the Resort standards.
• Carry out inspections of assigned areas and ensures highest possible standard of cleanliness and maintenance of all areas.
• Monitors and reports to the Executive Housekeeper  or next in line regarding the upkeep of furnishings, facilities, and equipment.
• Carries out good communication with team members ensuring performance is effectively managed.
• Ensure the daily cleaning and maintenance of all in and outdoor public areas of the Resort is carried out in a timely and efficient manner and as per resort standard procedures.
• Ensure the night cleaning of all areas is carried out according to resort standards.
• Inspect that tools and equipment is used correctly and not obstruction any guest areas as per resort standards.
• Report any repair to the Engineering department and follow up to make sure it is done.
• Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety standards.
• Prepare all scheduling for the team as per resort requirements.
• Monitor usage of cleaning supplies and stock is kept in accordance with departmental budgets.
• Ensures all team members are trained and introduced to their duties as per resort standards and policies.
• Carries out on the job training when required ensuring the team is kept updated in carrying out their daily tasks.
• Attend daily briefing with the Housekeeping leaders, communicate and report daily operational issues, requirements or other.
• Is fully trained on resort emergency procedures and first aid as per resort standards.
• Carries out correct disciplinary action when required.
• Is flexible in working hours and scheduling as per resort requirements and will be required to work morning, afternoons, evenings and overnight shifts will also be required to work weekends and Public Holidays
• Carries out any other job related duties as requested by the resort.
• To assist subordinates during daily peak periods
• Participate in Housekeeping meetings and make suggestions for improvements to the Housekeeper.
• Participates in the multi – skilling philosophy of the department
• To respond to changes in the department function as dictated by the Industry , Company and Hotel
• Carries out any other requests by the Housekeeping leaders

About you

The desired qualification for this role is at least a Higher School Certificate. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an international ultra-luxury resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
