One&Only Hudson Valley is set to open in 2028 and will feature a luxury resort and private homes in Upstate New York. This destination will offer a tranquil countryside escape just outside Manhattan, with a focus on wellness, longevity, immersive learning, and gastronomic innovation. The resort will include 61 cabins, guest rooms, and suites, as well as exceptional culinary experiences and a Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie. The residences and luxury resort will open concurrently, providing a unique experience grounded in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Hudson Valley

 

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced and dynamic hospitality professional to lead the pre-opening and successful launch of a world-class luxury resort. We are seeking a visionary General Manager with a proven track record of delivering luxury hospitality experiences and successfully managing pre-opening projects from concept through to operational excellence.

This role requires a strategic leader who combines commercial acumen with operational expertise and an unwavering commitment to exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will oversee every aspect of the resort's pre-opening, including recruitment, operational planning, financial performance, brand implementation, and the development of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of the resort's pre-opening activities, ensuring readiness for a successful opening.
  • Develop and execute the resort's strategic business plan, operational framework, and annual budgets.
  • Recruit, inspire, and develop an exceptional leadership team while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and service.
  • Establish all operational policies, procedures, and service standards aligned with luxury hospitality expectations.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective commercial strategies, pricing, sales, and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, investors, local authorities, tourism partners, and the surrounding community.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility programs where appropriate.
  • Position the resort as a market-leading luxury destination through innovation and operational excellence.

Experience requirments:

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury resorts
  • Demonstrated success leading at least a resort pre-opening.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury hotel operations across rooms, food and beverage and wellness
  • Proven commercial leadership with a strong record of driving revenue and profitability
  • Outstanding leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent financial management, budgeting, and analytical skills.
