Job Summary

Perform assigned tasks to the One&Only Food & Beverage standards, displays good salesmanship in up-selling skills, coordinate with other Colleagues on special guest requests. Demonstrate excellent menu product knowledge, telephone skills and etiquette. Displays teamwork attitude toward all Colleagues. Communicate with guests and report guests’ feedback to the Team Leader and Manager to ensure high food and beverage, and service quality level is maintained at all times.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that all mise-en place is correctly prepared prior to commencing service.
• Prepares all beverage requests within the time parameters, set by the Resort and always displays attributes of genuine hospitality.
• Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all food, beverage and tobacco items offered by the Resort.
• Ensure that the design and layout of the bar is flawless and reflects the image of the Resort.
• Ensure that requisitions are placed according to the bar’s requirements and wastage is minimized.
• At all times, act in a responsible manner, especially regarding the sales of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain and create a working environment that reflects a sense of place.
• Ensure that all tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner.
• Remain updated on all Resort happenings, including guests in-house, arrivals and departures, as well as daily events.
• Ensure the least breakage of glasses by working in a professional manner.
• This position is not limited to bar service but also includes service in the restaurant

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English is essential, any additional languages is preferable.
• Must be willing to learn and skilled to perform the job of a Bartender.
• Any job experience in the Hospitality sector and/or Food & Beverage department in a resort environment (preferable five star) is a valuable addition.
• Ability to lift heavy objects to complete duties and guest requests.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to have strong guest-oriented services and communication skills.
• To be able to work well under pressure and multitasking.
• Strong beverage knowledge.
