2 Job Details & Requirements
Job Summary
The resort accountant is responsible for representing finance department at the resort for cashiering, income audit, stock control and receiving. He is also responsible for control and distribute all managed stock according to their store requisition and maintaining a par stock of the stores.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting income audit – complete audit pack & report daily, weekly & monthly checklists
- Producing daily and monthly revenue report
- Daily reconciliation Opera Trial Balance to General Ledger and transfer of AR accruals
- Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations as directed by the Finance Manager
- Issue daily EBM receipts on the RRA terminal
- Reconcile sales tax opera bills vs EBM receipts and produce tax report
- Produce PMs, discounts and complimentary reports
- Keeping custody of company petty cash and transacting as per petty cash policy
- Coordinating banking of cash collection as per hotel cashiering policy
- Daily interdepartmental cost allocations
- Assisting with products costing
- Producing monthly cost reports
- Receiving and controlling of goods and services into the system
- Custodian of all managed stores
- Ensure physical stock take is conducted as scheduled
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure storage areas are clean and maintains high hygienic standards
- Maintain established maximum/minimum stock levels of store he/she is in control
- Perform other duties as required and as requested by the Chief Accountant/Finance Manager
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in hotel accounting department
- Interpersonal, organizational and strong administrative skills
- Strong communication skills
- Well groomed
- Moderate to fast computer skills (strong excel skills added advantage)
- Bachelor degree in Finance/ Accounting
