  • Prepares work area with ingredients for Senior Chefs
  • Preparation, cooking and assembly of dishes
  • Supports all other cooks/chefs as and when needed
  • Supports preparation of ingredients and dishes for special events
  • Controls cost by minimizing waste, spoilage, proper storage and exercising strict portion control
  • Ensures the highest levels of cleanliness and organization are always maintained in their designated areas, without exception. All sanitation, company and FSMS regulations must be followed at all times.
  • Is aware of kitchen safety, reporting all accidents to supervisors.
  • Reports damage to work equipment and its proper repair.
  • Properly executes their designated recipes.
  • Communicates with colleagues during service to ensure proper and timely execution of all food items (precise plating, hot foods and cold foods). All food served in allotted time
  • Attends training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen including refrigerators and freezers, may perform duties relating to general cleaning.
  • Communicates challenges if unable to complete mise en place on the go prior to line check.
  • Aware of and involved in how all products are received, stored and rotated appropriately, with all related FSMS and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of designated food storage and other kitchen areas.
  • Conducts stock inventories in relation to the kitchen.
  • May train new colleague on market standards and recipes.
  • May work in different outlets/kitchens at short notice depending on business needs.
  • May work different shifts or be reassigned based on business need
