Key Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maximizing revenue and profit associated with rooms at the property. The position is accountable for pricing, positioning, and inventory management of transients and groups for the property. Oversees all the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, inventory management, and opportunity analysis. Works with the sales strategy team to develop the hotel sales strategy and ensure implementation.
Core Work Activities
- Executing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy
- Ensures that the hotel sales strategies are effectively implemented in the reservation system and the inventory system.
- Prepares sales strategy meetings.
- Monitors transient and group inventory daily to ensure straight-line availability and maximization of revenue potential.
- Ensures compliance and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels
- Promotes and protects brand equity.
- Establishes long-range objectives and specifies the strategies and actions to achieve them.
- Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
- Provides revenue analysis functional expertise to general managers, property leadership teams and market sales leaders.
- Develops and/or uses analytical tools and systems to maximize revenues and profit.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Proactively develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.
- Informs and/or updates the executives, peers and subordinates on relevant information promptly and on time.
Skills, Experience & Core Work Activities
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Hospitality
- Minimum three years of working experience at Director of Revenue
- Proficiency English and Spanish
