About the Job
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation throughout the hotel’s public areas. This role ensures that every space reflects the property’s excellence, overseeing the implementation of hygiene, safety, and quality protocols.
The main objective is to lead and support the housekeeping team in daily operations, maintain efficient processes, and deliver an impeccable environment for both guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Supervision

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in all public areas according to hotel policies.

Supervise and coordinate staff assignments, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and correctly.

Review daily logbooks to follow up on pending issues and previous day notes.

Monitor hotel occupancy, VIP arrivals, repeat guests, and group check-ins/outs to prioritize cleaning tasks accordingly.

Conduct regular inspections of guest and employee restrooms, lobbies, hallways, walkways, offices, and food & beverage outlets.

Plan and oversee deep cleaning projects such as carpet washing, marble polishing, glass cleaning, and furniture maintenance.

Receive instructions from the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant and ensure proper communication to the team.

Conduct regular rounds of public areas to verify cleanliness and identify maintenance needs.

Motivate, train, and supervise staff while ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and social distancing protocols.

Coordinate work schedules, day-off rotations, and specific cleaning assignments with the Housekeeping management team.

Request and manage weekly cleaning supplies, ensuring correct and efficient use.

Supervise the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established disinfection protocols.

Participate in linen, amenities, and equipment inventories.

Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance for public area equipment.

Ensure storage and linen rooms are clean, organized, and properly secured.

Record daily activities, incidents, and relevant information in the departmental logbook.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure staff always wear complete, clean uniforms and personal protective equipment.

Monitor that all safety and sanitation procedures are strictly followed.

Immediately report any irregularities, damage, or maintenance issues in rooms or public areas.
